I wish they had better coffee and tea in the rooms. There wasn’t enough body gel and there wasn’t any conditioner

The front desk people were great, and the lobby area was pleasant, but the hotel left much to be desired. The soundproofing is close to zero. When the toilet flushed in another room, it was extremely loud. When people talked anywhere near the room, I could hear it. The bath amenities were minimal. There were always piles of linens and other housekeeping supplies in the commmon areas. I stayed there because I was without a car and the location was extremely convenient for my needs, but this was not a great experience.

Sky Boutique was convenient for our two-day trip to Frieze Art Fair at Santa Monica Airport. Overall, the location is quiet and the awning over the courtyard kept the morning light out in the morning. The courtyard provided serene atmosphere I wish I was able to use more during my stay.

Two quests were booked for the room, but there weren’t enough cups or towels for both guests. The toilet seat was loose and sliding of the toilet. No heaters in the rooms during a cold night. Walls are paper thin. Never saw the bar area being used or set up to serve. Parking was too tight and at times not available.

The front desk guy operates professionally and is very nice as well as the housekeeping staff. That being said the place needs to me completely refurbished. There is no insulation so you are woken by people speaking at all hours. You hear every movement from the guests above if you are in a lower unit. Location is convenient. Miss matched furniture, terrible dirty, dinged and chipped pait and places they painted but it needs 2 more coats. Photos are not how the property appears.

It has nice enough rooms my shower valve was wonky but all the rooms face this Center Courtyard that for some reason they put a tent over so you're only window looks out to an indoor space it's creepy

Front desk is super nice and sweet. Room is clean. Bathroom shower is clogged and the water isn’t draining properly. We had to wait until it’s drained to be able to use the shower.

6/10

Rooms are large and clean but there are no external facing windows so the only light into the room comes from the internal courtyard, The drapes are light blocking, there are no sheers, and the windows are clear glass so the room is either dark or you have no privacy. There is no security chain in room 208, even though it looks like there is a evidence of one in the past. As a woman travelling alone, I always like the security of a security chain in addition to the door lock.

The room is poorly soundproofed. The noise from the stairs and street vehicles kept me awake at night.

Their website is nothing like the condition of the hotel. It shows a nice cocktail bar which I found out hasn’t been open since Covid. The condition of the lobby area is quite shabby. They leave a large yellow trolley with all of their linens in the sitting area all the time. They had a workout room that holds old lamps and whatever they are not using in the various rooms. Tbe rooms are very dark since the windows only open to their courtyard no outside facing windows. But the rooms were clean, bedding was adequate. Not a place I would ever consider in the future.

4/10

My stay was disappointing. The room wasn't properly prepared, and there was no humidifier inside, so I had to go to the front desk to borrow one. Additionally, although the parking lot wasn't crowded, I was still charged an extra $20 for parking, which felt unnecessary. The room had noticeable dust, which made it feel unclean and uncomfortable. Overall, the experience didn't meet my expectations, and I will not be returning in the future. It’s clear that more attention to detail is needed for a better guest experience.

I was evacuated and they still wanted to charge for parking. It wasn’t the money but the fact. A lot of hotels offered evacuation rates. It also wasn’t nearly as nice in person but it was clean and it was a bed

Boutique is code for old and rundown with a fresh but poorly applied coat of paint. The walls are very thin and contribute to the very noisy nightime experience. None of the little conveniences that we have come to expect from even the most common national hotel chains. Parking is $20 a night and feels like just another way to pry money out of my wallet. The parking lot is not shared with another business so I'm a little confused as to why a charge at all. We had to ask for towels and washcloths every night as there was always a reason they hadn't been replaced. It was clean, I'll give them that. The staff was friendly. It's a bed and bathroom motel that is pretty clean. If that's your expectation, then you should be fine.

4/10

The hotel was tucked away, hidden in plain sight. The parking area was extremely tight with parking not accommodating vehicles larger than compact, though we paid a premium price for the space. The hotel room, 211, was not secure. The door had a latch but it was connected to a broken door frame. During the night, there was an individual attempting to access our room, containing me, my wife, and my three daughters. To top it off, the deposit that was promised to be returned within 48 business hours has not been refunded, and it has been 4 complete business days.

I rated this hotel as okay. If you were to ask if I'd stay here again the answer would be no. Although the room was very clean there were ants wandering all around the shower, there was water damage to bathroom wall next to sink that should be addressed, and the outside of bathroom door was covered in dollops of a hard adhesive as if a panel had been ripped off it. I was dismayed to find my bed didn't have a top sheet, which I discovered just before going to bed, but our other bed for another family member did have the sheet. I did appreciate that the parking area had a security camera which I could see the monitor at the check in desk. Although, the door through the plaza to the parking doesn't close on its own properly at night, so you could get into inside plaza if door is left ajar without using a key card. I appreciated that since there weren't that many guests during our stay the staff put guests in rooms with at least an empty room between for more peace and quiet. The location of this hotel is not conducive to walking to most any services or restaurants as this seems to be a defunk part of the city and is at least a mile away from Sawtelle Blvd where a lot of great things are found. My vehicle is taller than usual, and I was afraid it was going to hit the corner of the front door overhang as I tried to get down the narrow alleyway to the fenced in parking lot in the back. If you have a wide and/ or tall vehicle you will not fit back there. Spaces are narrow.

The hotel was very cute and quaint. I loved the couryard. It made it feel so tranquil. I only stayed 1 night, but wish I could have stayed longer. The room was clean with modern decor. Room had air conditioning unit, fridge, and coffee machine. The location was perfect, because we were within walking distance to restaurants and cafe. And if you didn't want to walk to those options, there are plenty of other options to drive to within a 10-minute radius.
