"Amazing 5 star hotel with excellent beds, rooms and food. The food was also excellent. Be sure and includethe breakfast buffet during your stay. My wife and son loved it. Also, it's in an excellent walkable location in the Shibyua, Tokyo district. We also loved the pajamas they provided us nightly. "
"We got the small bedroom but it was adequate for 2 people who are outside the whole day.
The access to take pictures of the Godzilla head is still closed. Apparently, it has been closed for more than 2 years now."
"Room was pretty nice size, extra security around elevators (can't even access them without a room key). Right across from a Don Quixote as well, so that's never a bad thing. Didn't experience anything bad with the hotel. Kabukicho is just a little roudier at night, so lower floors may hear more commotion. Otherwise, enjoyed my stay!"
"The Hotel Groove Shinjuku was a great choice for our family. The full Tokyo experience (including the excitement of Shinjuku Station) of bright lights and large adverts.
The area is busy but the hotel is totally wonderful, safe, secure and well staffed. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. The cleaning was effective and efficient with a wide range of helpful amenities.
The room itself was big enough for 2 adults and a child with a lovely expansive view of the vicinity including the Skytree.
There was lots to choose from in terms of food options and easy access to a range of different cuisines for all budgets. It is a wonderful introduction to the busy craziness of Tokyo with excellent service and attention to detail. Thank you so much! "
"The only negative thing I'd say about the property was the limited size of our room, other than that it is a well presented hotel with great staff. The area is a little sketchy (as to be expected from KABUKICHO) however it has got worse over the last 2 years since i was last here. The constant harassment from the Nigerians trying to get you into rip off bars or rip off strip clubs is getting worse, every corner i turned i was asked or grabbed by one of them, one of the nights i nearly lost my cool. The police do nothing reagrding these individuals and are to busy picking on the homeless.
All in all great hotel, shame about the some of the people around the area, would i stay again? Definitely. I just hope Japan sorts out the things what really let KABUKICHO down."
"Two train entrances within a 3 mins walk. Very clean. Staff was great. Room looked bigger in the photos. But if that’s all I have to complain about, must be pretty good. I’d stay here again. "
"I could walk for miles to get a great workout from this property. It has pools, several restaurants, a great 7/11, a coffee shop, beautiful gardens, and taxis that are always available for departure. The location is next to many train stations and it is a 30 minute taxi drive to major shopping districts. Also, the shower kit is quality and amenities too. They provided free water for us everyday."
"Very new city zone, clean, modern, and more oriented to for business travel. Hotel was conveniently located next to metro stop and airport, but 1/2 mile from residential areas for more cultural experience. "
"When I first arrived to the property, I was surprised that the Front Desk spoke English and very helpful about getting into my room. While I was staying there for a couple of days, it was easy for me to get my room cleaned as I put the sign of notice cleaning on the front of the door, which was magnetic and was clean the next day upon my arrival. The only thing I was the dissatisfied about was when I asked to use the pool I obviously had tattoos, and the receptionist saw it and didn’t mention for me to not use the pool or say I noticed you have tattoos. Maybe you shouldn’t use the pool as it’s not allowed. But in the end I end up paying 2000 to pay for the usage of the pool and a towel. When I arrive at the pool area, they told me I was not allowed in. I was surprised that they took my money without even telling me. But regardless, my day was pretty fantastic. Also, if you ever want to use the laundry on the upper floors, it’s always busy so I wasn’t unable to wash my clothes and I had to go to a private Dry Cleaning company around the area to get all my clothes cleaned. "
"It was a great location and very welcoming from the moment we arrived. The beds were very comfortable and the air condition worked well. It was an easy walk to the train station and lots of good restaurants nearby. While the room was as expected a little small, there was plenty of room for our luggage And then being able to move around. Would highly recommend this hotel. We did not use any of the amenities like spa or restaurant so I can’t speak to those."
"The hotel was perfect for our last night in Tokyo before flying home. It was in a great location and very close to the station.
I wasn’t aware that breakfast was included in our the price so that was a nice surprise.
The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff pleasant. I would definitely stay again "
