"We have been here many times over the years. This was the first time since it reopened as Paradisus after refurbishment. We decided to try the Reserve level. It was much more expensive and did not offer very much extra in terms of facilities or dining options. The Reserve Pool area is enclosed by a concrete wall like a stockade or prison. It is still the windiest pool and we spent more time around the lagoon pool on the sheltered & sunnier side of the hotel. Reserve also offered breakfast in a separate dining area with table service. This area also served as a bar & lounge for Reserve during the day. Again we didn’t spend any time in there. The hotel was NOT full and a lot of staff were wandering around asking if everything was alright but they didn’t really want to hear anything but yes. The huge sandy beach is the attraction of this hotel for us and it is likely we will return, but not to the Reserve Level. "

"I just finished a lovely 5 night stay at this modern hotel. I was a solo traveller and felt very comfortable and safe here. The rooms were spotless and cleaned everyday, the shower was lovely and had a lovely balcony that was in the sun. The staff working the bar and in the restaurant were always very friendly and even did table service for drinks during dinner which I thought was a great touch. The buffet at the restaurant is small. But this was perfect, it meant not spending hours going up and down looking at what I wanted. I enjoyed the food every evening, there was a theme night such as Mexican night, Asian night the food was great , including Breakfast. The all inclusive had the perfect selection of drinks, and the pool area was quiet, clean and chilled. This area is perfect if you want somewhere quiet and relaxing. There is no entertainment which was perfect for me. Also it is in the outskirts of Costa Calma with a couple of family run supermarkets nearby. There is plenty of parking for car hire and e-scooter rental on the streets. I can’t wait to visit this property again ! It was truly perfect ! - Thank you :) "

"The front desk staff were very pleasant, but the breakfast staff were a bit rushed and unfriendly. The rooms were large, but very dated. Several things needed replaced and there was a sewer like smell in the bathroom. The breakfast had a large selection, but was disappointed that the hot breakfast did not provide "pork free" options because everything is cooked on the same grill. The pools were decent and not crowded, but the dry sauna and hot tub were not working and the wet sauna had a bad smell. The hotel is about 10-15 minutes walk from a few shops, restaurants, and the beach. The hotel did not have water or beverages for sale, which was needed with the hot weather. I was not impressed with the area , but overall the stay was decent and safe."
