We love Eco Villas

We are students from the UK travelling up the coast of Kenya and absolutely loved our stay at Eco Villas. Juliette was so friendly and welcoming and cooked delicious home-made samosas. We would definitely come again here. All the staff are lovely and happy to help with anything!

Electricity unreliable

The property (houses on Easter Side) has big issue with the three-phase power input. Finally, we spent our night without electricity (two basic lamps were provided instead for the room and bathroom). The electric generator was not reliable - lights were blinking all the time. I didn`t want to charge my electric equipment when the generator was used (didn`t want risk damaging items). The breakfast was rather basic. The rest of the experience was OK. It was the only only one property we visited with electric problems on the Coast. We didn`t receive any kind of proposal for refund for that unconvenience. We suggest: before renting make sure you are located in the house on western side of the property.

Ich kann dieses wunderschöne Paradies jedem empfehlen. Es war das absolute Paradies für uns am Ende unserer Reise durch Kenia. Eine sehr familiäre und innige Beziehung, obwohl wir nur 5 Nächte dort waren. Granny und ihre Tochter und das Personal wie Sophie waren alle sehr gastfreundlich. Das Essen war frisch und lecker, einfach fantastisch. Der Pool, die Zimmer und allgemein die Anlage waren ständig sauber und gepflegt. Eigentlich 5 Sterne ! So etwas Schönes und Warmes haben wir selten gesehen. Asante Sana!!!

Die vielen tollen Bewertungen sind absolut gerechtfertigt! Das Preis /Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar, die Lage ist absolut kein Problem! Ganz besonders hervorzuheben ist die unvergleichliche Gastfreundschaft und die tolle Atmosphäre, Service ist perfekt,es fehlt an nichts! Freunde waren gleichzeitig in einem 3x so teuren 4 Sterne Hotel am Strand und waren enttäuscht. Watamu ist sehr italienisch geprägt, in vielen Unterkünften sind Nicht-Italiener Gäste 2 Klasse. Das Echo Villas ist in jeder Hinsicht absolut 1. Wahl in Watamu, wir würden jederzeit wieder hin obwohl wir sonst eher gehobenere Unterkünfte buchen.
