Check in was a breeze. Had a 3rd floor room with a balcony so after a day of walking around or hiking it was nice to just sit outside. Less than 20 minutes to Mt Rushmore. A 20 minute walk will put you at the opposite end of town. Plenty if place to choose to eat. Morning breakfasts were different each day. The breakfast area was always clean and stocked. We would definitely stay there again.

This was a completely charming stay! The hotel feels like it’s right out of an Irving Berlin show! The staff were amazing, the breakfast was excellent, the suite was adorable, and the feel of the place was enchanting. It’s such a breath of fresh air to stay somewhere that ownership is obviously seeking ways to make the experience better (vs just trying to fill rooms and save a buck!) If ever back to Mt Rushmore it’s where we’ll stay!
