Loved the place! All the hope is real. The service is amazing and the food is superb. We loved spending time on the beach. We upgraded the room To build in 70, which was worth it. We discovered this gem about 2 years ago and we continue to return (every time I have booked another resort, I have ended up cancelling and we go back to JOIA/Grand Paraiso, it’s a “sure thing”!) What makes us such big fans? -spectacular, over the top facilities and decor (beyond impressive lobby, marble everywhere, gorgeous finishings and fixtures, flowers, lush grounds…) -All restaurants are air conditioned, with a very high end atmosphere -exceptional food -top shelf liquor/masterfully prepared cocktails -friendly and welcoming staff that go above and beyond -we have not had problems getting into our desired restaurants -ample pool chairs with shade options, we have never had to get out early to “compete” for a spot (as is so often the case at other resorts) We previously were loyal guests at Excellence Playa Mujeres for over a decade (more than 20 trips) but JOIA has become our new “go to”. This resort is packed with repeat guests who have come to appreciate everything that makes this place so special. Looking forward to our return next month!
