It's a nice place and reasonably priced. My only concern was the thinness of the walls. Thankfully, there were not a lot of noisy guests. We were there on a Tuesday and Wednesday night. We can't say enough about how thoughtful and helpful the front desk staff was.

I nice choice, safe location, nice to have the bar and restaurant there (note though when we arrived 3:30 on a Friday they had no bartender, beer & wine only.... was hoping to get a cocktail) Rooms are comfortable though they had an automatic sensor light in the hallway to the bathroom that went on every time you went to the bathroom - I could not figure out how to turn it off....) We have stayed here before, and likely will return. Combination of quality, price, amenities works for me

The staff were so welcoming, helpful and cheerful upon my arrival. I was even lucky to get my room earlier than normal check-in (major bonus!!). The hotel is nice, not extravagant, but had everything I needed for my short stay (with the exception of a mini-fridge in my room…. But i believe other room options have mini-fridges?). There is a strong ‘cologne-perfume’ aroma in the lobby, which is slightly overpowering if you are sensitive to scents. Loved that there were free filtered water refills available in the main lobby, that is a major win in my books! The hotel is a bit dated, but I really don’t mind that, it was very clean and I felt more than comfortable for the duration of my time in the city. Housekeeping and front desk reception staff were so friendly, thank you! Overall pleasant stay and very affordable for staying in SF!

Comfortable. 😊 The soap smells so good. Basic complimentary breakfast was perfectly enough with tea and coffee, individual pre-packaged oatmeal, croissant. Front desk held luggage after checkout giving time to do things in the city without having to haul everything along. I'd definitely stay here again.

The Julian was a nice hotel and the room was very spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the free coffee and pastries in the morning to start the day. Unfortunately the shower lacked hot water during our stay. We were not able to take a hot shower at the end of a cold day. The walls were a bit thin. I was able to hear our neighbors in the morning, however they were very loud.

The property was clean and the room was nice. The parking was rather inconvenient because it was hard to find street parking, you had to pay, and you had to lug your luggage up a giant hill. The restaurant in the hotel is rather expensive and not the best meal I’ve eaten. There were a few restaurants in walking distance but not much else. Lots of hidden fees to look out for though! The total as you are reserving is NOT the real total. There are “amenity fees” despite no amenities really (ie. No pool, sauna, complementary breakfast, etc.).

We were so happy with our stay at hotel Julian. The location is great and for the price point it would be hard to find something nicer. The restaurant/bar on the first floor was great, and the bar tender was one of the most helpful people we talked to with fantastic suggestions and advice for our short stay. Do yourself a favor and stay here
