The hotel has a fun and unique concept when it comes to the layout of the rooms. However, know it's a bit difficult to move around in them, and you’re likely to bump your head, though we were aware of this beforehand so not a problem and the price was good.
What really affected our overall experience was an issue with the air conditioning. It started with us not being unable to adjust the settings (it was hot), so we had staff come to the room several times to try. At the last visit, they accidentally turned it off completely and were unable to get it working again. We understand that equipment can break and that repairs take time, but what was more frustrating was having to repeatedly remind the staff about the issue over several days, and sleeping in a hot and humid room.
They didn’t have another room available, which we understand, but the bigger issue was that they couldn’t offer any alternative solution (no fan or portable AC). They simply told us they didn’t have any. Personally, in a situation like that, I think the hotel should take the initiative to buy or arrange something. It wasn’t until we spoke with a third staff member on the third day that they finally offered us a fan, which was in fact available. At that point, they were also able to offer us a different room for one night, and they mentioned that a repair technician would come the next day. Nice!!!
Perhaps the issue was mainly due to language barriers. They got it fixed eventually :)
