Derek at the front desk was such a delight. He was not only warm and helpful. I have to admit, when he greeted us it just started my trip out on such a high note. We were able to access our room earlier, which was very helpful. The club lounge was very nice for a quick snack and refreshment. The breakfast buffet was indeed well put together and quite enjoyable with their options - food attendants in the morning breakfast kept everything filled up and very clean. I love having the latte machine making breakfast a must do . We enjoyed the soft & comfy beds, the views of the bridge from our room and the club lounge breakfast. Every employee we interacted with were very pleasant and always helpful. We are planning on coming back in the next few months and will stay here at Bidwell, downtown Portland. Minutes away from everything. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Enjoyable visit to Portland

The front desk was very helpful with suggestions of where to eat and directions using public transportation. We were intending to visit the Japanese Gardens anyway, so it was a pleasant surprise that the Bidwell could make a reservation and provide tickets. It was conveniently located.

This is a great boutique style hotel. Staff very attentive, nice to have a restaurant on site and suggest getting a room with M Club access for quick and easy snacks, drinks, breakfast. Especially for a longer stay. Great location downtown and easy access to train to airport.

Excellent check-in experience, terrible room

I arrive late and the people work at the front desk were incredibly nice and processed my check in very quickly. That is the nicest thing I can say about this hotel. The vent in the bathroom did not work. And 2 of the hand towels had yellowish tints/stains. The refrigerator did have a temperature setting and did not act as a fridge so much as a freezer and completely froze everything I had (a couple snacks and bottle water). Now, I love a soft mattress. But when I laid on the one in the room, I felt like I was sinking into it like a cartoon character being swallowed up by a mattress. Needless to say, they may want to replace their mattresses. The desk chair was broken, and there were mystery stains on the accent chair and the fabric bench in the room (see photos)
