The pools are soooo dirty and crowded with outside guests because they sell the spa pass separately. Watch out because they overcharge you and steal your money if you’re not careful. "The bed sheets and pillowcases were not replaced with fresh ones, and we could clearly smell the previous guests’ scent, especially on the pillows. It was very unpleasant.

"It was built in the 1830s, as I recall. It is very pretty. Huge garden. Beautiful stained glass windows. An interesting walking path or two. We had a large balcony that was very nice. We were there on night so we did not get to take advantage of everything. I would recommend at least two nights if you want to take advantage of everything available. "

"Pros: The property is close to the centre of Màtrafüred, where the restaurants are, and it is also close to the hiking trails. It has a pool (though it is a bit dated) a kitchen and dining area for guests to use, as well as a sauna and a nice back garden in the woods. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating and the room was clean.
Cons: The property is right next to the main road, so if you have a room that faces that side, it is very noisy. I could hear the traffic even through my earplugs. It was very umpleasant as i was expecting a nice peaceful stay in Màtra. The rooms have soundproofed doors, but the walls are very thin. I could even hear my neighbours talking! My (double) room had a tiny bathroom, i don't think a larger person would have been able to move around in it or even sit on the toilet properly.
The reception was not always manned, so guests had to call to get someone over to check them in, open the pool, etc etc."
