"Host friendly when we arrived. No parking - only had 3 cars on front. Could park our car for free across the road. Believe was a school car park. We entered the building from a side door to the new part of the building. On entrance was tea/coffee making facilities for all of the room (think 6 rooms?)Room new, modern and well decorated including bathroom. Room (20) not huge but adequate for 2 nights. Was at the front of the building so had to shut the window in the early hours because of traffic noise. Bus stop very close and easy to get into Edinburgh. I would book again.

It is also located a bit away from the main shopping area, so quieter than if nearer the town.

"Every where in the hotel was very clean and well presented, the dining room was spacious and comfortable, breakfasts were amazing. The bar was also good and although we didn't eat the food looked good. The hotel and bar are very dog friendly. Everyone was warm and welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay. Food choice was good. Downside the amount of curry my wife had could of been more plentiful. My teriyaki fish needed more seasoning, I don't usually add salt or pepper to meals but in this case had to.
Saying that my 2 friends steak and linguine was apparently lovely. The full English was exceptionally good and plentiful

"The Pine Marten is very reasonably priced compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel building is separate from the pub so no noise. The bedroom was clean with all facilities. The bed was (unlike in some hotels) very comfortable. Had continental breakfast each day at £6 odd. It was adequate but no yoghurt mixed with berries like at Premier Inn and Holiday Inn Express. "Such welcoming staff who were so helpful in the morning. Breakfast was wonderful, really tasty and lots of variety. The full Scottish breakfast was a firm favourite! The room was super clean and quiet. A lovely stay if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle, which a quaint village feel. This has a family feel to it! "We had a very warm informative welcome. The room was at the back which helped it be quieter when the private parties could be loud when they were on in the function room. It looks as if some updating is happening and needs new window frames and closers. The bed was comfy. Hospitality tray was great. In the bar the staff were great. You were served quickly and they kept the bar tidy. They were very friendly. We had bar sharing plate snack which was amazing. We didn’t have breakfast as not breakfast eaters so can’t comment about that.
