"Staff were amazing. Quite tired, but you can see they have improved in areas. The shower said it takes 10 minutes for hot water to come through, its an older building. I gave up after 20 mins. Shower head needs descaling too. Attention to detail makes a difference. Staff were great though"

"Clean room, very comfortable beds, quiet surroundings (a part from a nightingale singing outside the room at night). Excellent food. A place to back to. "

The Broadway Park Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I really found a gem when booking an isle of wight trip. These manor houses with a ballroom, dining room, billiard room etc i thought was now only for TV drama but its exactly how you would expect an important house from 1800s to look.
The rooms are spacious and felt really at home, using the lounge area too felt like I had definitely needed a break like this from London. There are gardens outside you would see on a national trust venue. The gardener works very hard. Sitting to observe the country scenery was really needed. I'll plan another break here.
Booking the breakfast buffet was a good idea with walks planned during the day. The food is gorgeous well worth getting up before 9.30. The room service and staff approachability was appraciated. They prioritise the customer. What they do isn't an easy job so do be respectful.
Sandown has few flat roads but i enjoyed the short walks to the town, keats gallery, the rock shop, Flanagans bar with seaview, Glory art Glass making and the gorgeous sandy beach and the Cardamom Indian restaurant/takaway recommended also.
The steam train is a must too.
But you'll miss the sea air and these great shops if stuck in a car getting frustrated trying to find parking.
Finally, I can see why people drive but i enjoyed the train, ferry, local train and short walk from London. Portsmouth en route is worth spending a couple of hours before hopping on the ferry.
You will enjoy the Broadway park hotel, my job was clearly to relax.

"Overnight for sons graduation. Reception allowed us to leave car at hotel. Very much appreciated. We were given room upgrade unexpectedly but lovely."
"We’ve stayed here before & was equally impressed on our second visit. Staff are friendly, facilities are excellent, beds are comfortable, outside areas are kept mint"
"Great staff, great location.
We stayed here to attend the Goodwood races.
We were looked after from start to finish with a friendly manner and great enthusiasm.
The facilities were very good and the restaurant offered good food at a reasonable price."
"Check in was quick and easy, the only problem for me was hauling my bags up the outer staircase. The room was clean and reasonably spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the en suite shower room was also clean.
Jacqui was very pleasant and helpful, and I would happily stay here again."
"Very welcoming Michael on reception was very friendly and knowledgeable and CJ was very helpful as we were on a motorcycle and had 2 panniers and a top box to take upstairs to our room CJ kindly offered to take the 2 panniers to our room and that is now a rarity now a days for any hotel so good on ya"
"My wife and I had had a lovely weekend away together and stayed at the Orange Grove Hotel & Gardens, where we were made to feel very welcome. The staff very very helpful and provided a very friendly speedy service."
"This is the second time staying at the hotel and it’s been very good, the only areas that could be improved are the breakfast selection and the rooms having air conditioning. "
"Second visit and the hotel coverall was very good. However, the weather was very warm and so was the room with no air conditioning. Unfortunately the windows could only be partly opened due to security cables. Only a duvet was provided but far too warm for use. A sheet would have been good but not provided. A fan was provided but not that useful. So overall sleep difficult. "
"Fabulous service, all the staff so helpful and welcoming. A la carte restaurant exceptional (really enjoyed mahi mahi, swordfish and halibut - each was a special on the 3 days I stayed. "
"Here as a wedding guest. Staff were excellent, very good sized room with all needs catered for. I found bed very comfortable although not for those who prefer it softer. Only fault was we had an iron but no board. I coped. Happy guest"
"The staff were great, room clean & comfortable & I enjoyed my evening meal & breakfast, what’s not to like. If I ever stay in this area again I’d happily book the Angel hotel again"
