"I was on my own (newly widowed) but very relaxed at the Bamburgh Castle. Staff were all very kind and helpful.
A room with balcony looking over the harbour was really special. "

"The hotel is located by the harbour and close to shops and restaurants. Parking on-site is limited. Breakfast was good, with a good selection of items. Our room (30) was really hot, and quite noisy (we could hear the room next door’s TV and dogs). "

"Simple accommodation, which was good value. Very clean, had plumbing that worked fine though shower would be a little underpowered for rinsing long thick hair. Excellent location. "

"Super choice of hotel as it is near the station, so it easy to get to & from.
It is also located a bit away from the main shopping area, so quieter than if nearer the town.
The staff too were very friendly & helpful."

Seahouses in January is a typically quiet seaside town. It was exactly what I needed a comfortable place to stay with good food and good beer. It is a beautiful village with excellent views out to the Farne islands

Being school holidays, the Main Street was very busy, so we avoided the shops. We enjoyed a walk around the harbour and along part of the coastal path, returning to our hotel through charming traditional cottages. Delicious Italian meal in pm.

We have been coming to Seahouses for 'day trips' and weekend breaks, off and on for years. Only an hour from home. Always very enjoyable
"Amazing all round . We have been staying here each year for the last 6 years and never disappointed. Everything is just right ! We love it. The food is freshly cooked , good portions & delicious. The drinks are too, sensibly priced in today’s ever increasing market. The setting is idyllic and so much can be explored on foot or by local bus if not wanting to drive . We just love it here, staff friendly , beds comfy , soft fluffy towels . It’s a cottage feel as the name suggest and not the place if you are wanting gastro overpriced food and accommodation! After all you are paying for the posh wallpaper !! But if you like good honest clean and perfectly adequate accommodation with fabulous food and drink at a reasonable cost then this the the place to be! Thank you for a lovely stay as always "

"Great location for walking into town. Friendly , welcoming staff. Comfortable room with everything we needed. Lovely bed and great shower . Friendly staff provided a lovely cooked breakfast in the morning . Would recommend "
"Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Comfy bed, spacious room, great shower.
Food choice was good. Downside the amount of curry my wife had could of been more plentiful. My teriyaki fish needed more seasoning, I don't usually add salt or pepper to meals but in this case had to.
Saying that my 2 friends steak and linguine was apparently lovely. The full English was exceptionally good and plentiful

"Unfortunately, the check-in at this hotel was one of the worst I’ve experienced. Firstly, they do not accept American Express, which was inconvenient and not clearly stated in advance. The receptionist then struggled to process my alternative card, insisting it didn’t work. I politely asked her to try again and of course, the card worked perfectly the third time, confirming it was a user error on her part.
What made the situation worse was her lack of apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. Instead, her attitude was dismissive and unnecessarily rude. She did not appear to have the experience or professionalism required for a front-facing role, which set a poor tone for the stay."
"Fabulous views over the harbour.
Bit strange that the bungalow is in the beer garden but it wasn’t noisy and it was quite handy!
Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice. "

"This was a rabbit warren of a hotel, with rooms of all shapes and sizes scattered throughout the site. We were initially given a very dark room, which was a strange shape, and a yapping dog next door; we were given a much better room when we complained.
There was a problem with the wifi connection throughout our stay, and as the mobile phone signal was poor, we had to leave the hotel to get an internet connection.
There was insufficient car parking on site and so we had to pay £10.80 per day at a nearby car park. "
"The room was great, clean, tidy and lots of space and the value, I thought, was excellent.
Checkin was a little slow, felt more like a pub with a side hotel. It felt the barmaid was busy with customers, taking priority over hotel guests. That said, everything else was as good as could have been expected."
"We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and had a great time. Our room was lovely and very clean. The breakfast menu is varied plentiful and very good. Gillian and Karen are very friendly and helpful. Have to mention the desserts which we had one evening which were delicious.

"Was a lovely experience staying on an overnight. All staff were just amazing. Had dinner and breakfast the next morning. The bar was well used by locals. Great atmosphere. Our room was absolutely gorgeous."
