"We had a lovely double room at the front of the hotel that was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and had a very good shower. The bed was very comfortable and there were extra pillows provided if we needed them. Our evening meal was delicious and excellently cooked. Breakfast was also really good in fact one of the best breakfasts i have had in a hotel for a long time. I had the Greek yoghurt with granola and fruit and honey which had lots of lovely fresh fruit in and my partner had the cooked breakfast, both were generous portions. It is a very old building and could do with a bit of a makeover in places but it was a busy hotel and seemed popular with the locals and the staff were wonderful, very attentive, polite and happy to help."
"Super friendly, helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. Beautiful location. Dog friendly and convenient for walks from the hotel with access to Sheringham Park. The food was excellent, but not always consistent - I had sea bass on one day which was so delicious (and as described in the menu) that I decided to have it again on my last night, but it was no where near as good - missing the chives in the mash, the dill sauce on the fish and not served with peas all as described in the menu. I’m guessing it was a different chef on duty.
I was disappointed with a mix up/misunderstanding about my room - but I think that was because of Expedia, not the fault of the hotel. And the hotel did try to resolve it.
I will definitely return and will know which room to request next time!"
"I loved my stay, and it exceeded my expecations. The place is in a strange little back street which might look unpromising, but it's dead quiet and actually ideally placed just minutes from both the station and the cathedral. The place is very well kept, and simple but stylish. My appartment was like a Travelodge bed room and bathroom, but with a well-equipped kitchen and a living room thrown in too. The reception staff were all very pleasant and helpful and, overall, it was extremely good value for money. It would be my first choice on a return trip to the city."
"Genuinely could not have picked a better place to stay upon my return to Norwich. The staff were above and beyond, helping accommodate our stay and making us feel welcome"
"The hotel is a relaxing place to stay. The room was very comfortable and the restaurant was a pleasing place to eat. The food was excellent and plenty of dishes to choose from."
"Staff make the hotel, everyone was so friendly, I came with wife and our autistic son, he was made up with how staff liaised with him, even the kids pack which included a lanyard (he collects lanyards)
Room was comfortable and breakfast was lovely "
"Really friendly and helpful welcome, marking eating facilities on a campus map for me. Room wasn't large, but was very clean with a comfortable bed. Nothing to criticise for the price."
"Wonderful stay for our wedding anniversary. Staff friendly and attentive, lovely room, nice little extras. Robes so soft and comfy! Food was amazing. "
"This a brilliant pub. Can't fault it at all. First choice place for me when in the area. Host will ask you what time you want your breakfast. What's not to like?"
"Perfect location in the heart of Wroxham/Hoveton. Nowhere better to sit and enjoy a drink by the river and watch the hustle and bustle of river life, tempered by the tranquility of the wildlife.
Exceptionally friendly staff, especially if you are a dog, as one staff member quoted " We love dogs more than we love people" but qualified that by saying the "We love people also" and it shows.
The food is well presented and of good quality and is freshly cooked to order. Evidenced by how full the restaurant was. Again perfect location to sit, eat, and enjoy company watching the world go by.
Having their own car park, unless you arrive by boat; is a huge bonus as parking is limited.
The room I had was quite small for a double room even with single occupancy, just me and my dog. However, still clean and well presented with dog bed, bowls, water and treats provided.
Hopefully, I will get chance to stay in a balcony room at some point.
I have enjoyed staying previously at Hotel Wroxham, this visit was the first with my dog but certainly won't be my last. This is the best dog friendly hotel I have stayed in, and I stay in hotels regularly.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Wroxam to anyone wishing to stay in the area."
