"Very nice property with friendly staff. Location is a short walk to town where there are lots of bars, restaurants and shops. The majority of the rooms are in the building across the parking lot from the hotel restaurant and river. Partial view river views look across the parking lot and are quite limited but pleasant. "

"Everything was great when checking in. Staff were really helpful. The hotel bar was good but closed when we came back with no residents bar. The breakfast was buffet style and average. Location is great and the room was brilliant value. "

"Overall great. Just a few issues with service especially when you arrive to check in, and all you want to do is get it done efficiently with your family in tow. So when a guest arrives, please great them. Don’t wait for them to wonder what to do next; so I guessed that the newly installed tablet maybe for me to you use, considering I had been ignored. (No other guests). Standing, there, knowing I am there, not acknowledging or asking if I need any assistance. Not a good look. Otherwise one other issue. Couldn’t get booked into the gastro pub, as it was somehow full, even though maybe at most visibly 40% occupied. I guess not enough staff to provide quality service. However I was able to get into the a la carte restaurant and it was fantastic. Well done. The room was a real highlight, wonderfully spacious, clean and with character. Funny thing though was the faucet for the sink, which was so low, I couldn’t get water in the room supplied kettle. Would stay again, just please, first impressions count; make an effort there. Thx"

"Staff are wonderful. The hotel is 5 minutes walk into town. The room was extremely hot, window only opened slightly, no A/C The bar could do with more ambience, felt a bit like an airport lounge. Maybe dim the lights, a few plants and put candles on tables. Really annoying having to pay for parking £28 for two nights, however that seems to be most English hotels in towns. Overall I would go back."

"Crewe Hall is absolutely stunning — the grounds and historic architecture are breathtaking, and the whole place has such a romantic, luxurious vibe. The staff were polite and helpful, and the atmosphere felt really special, perfect for a weekend getaway. The only downside was that we were allocated a disabled-access room, which felt a little unusual given that we hadn’t requested one. While it was spacious and clean, some of the features (like the bathroom setup) didn’t feel quite as comfortable or luxurious as we would have expected for a standard room. It didn’t ruin our stay by any means, but it was a bit of a surprise. Had to pay extra for a different room type, but I am glad we did because the upgraded room was in the main building and beautiful. Overall, it’s a gorgeous venue with so much character — just maybe worth double-checking the room type"
