"I was a bit disappointed with this hotel. I don’t think it was as good as other Premier Inns I’ve stayed in. The room wasn’t terribly comfortable, the sofa bed we needed definitely wasn’t. The shower was poor and while I understand that you don’t need the room cleaning everyday it’s no fun waiting at reception to ask for more loo roll! I am sorry to write a less than positive review but this hotel was not a great part of our holiday - but the lovely city made it worth it. "

"We had such a lovely, warm welcome and the staff could not be more helpful. Inside, the hotel is clean and welcoming. The hotel is very conveniently positioned and about 10 or 15 minutes to the tram stop into Basel. The breakfast was absolutely first class - plenty of options and the rooms were great."

"Superb place to stay, a really spacious and clean suite on the top floor. Bar/restuarant served superb food and a great breakfast. Nice quiet area and easy walk into the centre of Loffingen. Parking spaces are not abundant but there is plenty of parking in town a short walk away so no real issue. Would definitely stay here again."

"I highly recommend that everyone should look beyond the big expensive city of Basel and look into Germany for accommodations. Although this hotel had slightly outdated décor, one can see that this hotel, and it's staff, have a lot of pride in their work place, and they offer great service. My room was spotless, had all the necessities except for air conditioning but thankfully, it was a cool enough night that it wasn't necessary. The hotel offered a plentiful and fresh breakfast buffet that was fit for a king. Everything was wonderful at the Carathotel. I really commend the staff that was very welcoming."

"The hotel is very conveniently located, within walking distance to the train station, grocery stores and a discount store. Make sure to walk to Rheinfelden, Switzerland, which is a very nice, underrated town. The breakfast at Hotel Danner was among the best of our 3-week European escapade. The staff at the front desk was excellent, especially the young man whose name I wish I remembered. He gave us very good advice about Basel. I definitely want to go back to Hotel Danner."

"Excellent and reasonably-priced hotel. Perfect for holidays in Freiburg as it's right next to the main Tram 2 stop (Eugen-Martin-Straße) giving easy access to the centre. Lots of local grocery stores, which is great for stocking up the included kitchen. Everyone was very helpful and the rooms well-stocked (bring your own nespresso pods though). Sure, the rooms are a bit small, but once you realise the beds go up into the wall(!) you'll have plenty of space. Nice lighting, good number of sockets (power outlets), lovely towels, and the all-important Air Conditioning - for Freiburg is super hot in the summer and super cold in the winter. Extra points for a decent number of clothes hangers and TVs to which you can attach your own devices for streaming (the WiFi was fast enough for HD)"
