"Nice hotel. Dinner surprisingly tasty for a small hotel but beware it was meant to be cash only which we didn't know so the owner kindly added it to our hotel bill. Rooms nice and comfortable although kids had to sleep in a sofa converted bunk bed. Proprietor is very nice. Parking is ample. "

"This was a conveniently located medium-budget hotel, a short distance from the beautiful centre of Gengenbach. The staff were very helpful and friendly and I enjoyed my stay there. The room decor could do with a refresh and the shower was a bit leaky, but apart from that, it fulfilled its purpose really well. It is a great place to stay in that, once parked up, you are a short stroll to a selection of fine restaurants."

"Seems like a nice hotel with good spa facilities. We had a non smoking room, but it stank of cigarettes and the bathroom smelt unclean. The hotel staff didn’t speak any English (I no we were in Germany but basic pleasantries would have been nice) so don’t expect any help. Didn’t complain about the smell in the room as unable to make ourselves understood."

"This place is amazing! Huge room, friendly and helpful people at front desk. Very short walk to train station for side trips and short walk to town center for sights, shopping and dining. A/C works very well. We would definitely stay here again. "

"I really liked this hotel. It was right in the middle of the old town, next to the cathedral. Stepping into reception was lovely, as it was so tranquil after the busy street outside. The interiors are very chic. Our room was comfortable and a decent size. We faced onto the square behind the hotel and it was very quiet. The only noise was the church bells in the morning, but with the windows closed you couldn't hear them. Our only issue was that the air conditioner could only run for 80 minutes at a time. We managed to change the setting which was a big help. I would have liked the air conditioning to have been a bit more powerful as the room was quite warm, but it had been very warm outside and I don't like heat so this might not have bothered others."

"This was one of the nicest places we stayed in our whole trip (5 weeks). We had a two bedroom bungalow which was very modern and comfortable.
Major pluses:
The kids had their own bedroom with proper beds (separate single beds and not sofa / pullout style);
**TWO** toilets!
Clothing storage in both bedrooms including hanging space;
Free self-serve coffee in the reception area;
Plush carpet and very large couch;
Very convenient to Europa Park."
"5 star experience at this 4 star hotel. Impeccable service, great location, beautiful hotel and reasonable prices. Large bathrooms were a plus. The only critique is that i wish the A/C was colder and/or blew harder in the room. The room was cool-ish but at night I needed colder temps. I would absolutely stay here again. You are made to feel that they've rolled out a red carpet for you at check in (felt like a VIP) and they were sure to greet you any time you returned to the hotel. A++"

We wanted to watch the British and Irish Lions test match on our laptop and they went out of their way to cast it onto their main tv for us. The room size was OK, but only one bath towel & no hand towel was provided, breakfast was good with lots of choices & coffee was excellent. The location is excellent, very close to the railway station, & early access to any places of interest. Overall I enjoyed my stay here & would definitely stay again!"
