"We loved our stay here. The rooms are very clean and more traditional with tatami mats and futon mattresses. Showers in the rooms and toilets down the hall. About 10-15 min walk from the train station. We had carryon roller bags and it was manageable. The owner was so nice. We used google translate to talk to her. She called a cab for us on the morning we went to take the ferry to cat island. Then after we arrived from a long day of sightseeing she brought us fresh sliced pears. Such a nice...

"To be honest, this town has limited hotels and I saw both business travellers and families on holiday during breakfast.
Shopping and restaurants are just beside the hotel, less then 5 mins walk away"

"Great value. They were able to accommodate my food allergy for breakfast in the morning, and were very kind to us. Hotel has a smoking room, washer and dryer, and a beer vending machine. What more could you ask for? We had a great experience. Well-kept hotel, great amenities. "

"Our property host was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay, which felt more like a home and less like an “accommodation” (in a good way). The area is beautiful and just a short walk from the beach. Thank you for your hospitality and excellent service during my family’s stay. "

"I would not recommend to stay at this facility, as the rude attitude of the host ruined the whole experiences.
Pros
- comfy Japanese bedding
- outstanding cleanliness overall
Cons
- THE HOST
- smelly (cigarettes) public space
- no private bathroom (with private bath is a wrong information. public bathroom is closed between 22:00-05:00)
I would like to elaborate more to explain why I was led to make this poor rating which I have never done before.

"This was the best place I have stayed at yet!! The staff is so nice, and respectable they all deserve a raise!! Breakfast was amazing and so was dinner. They have dinners that correlate with the seasons. And while you are in matsushima you must try the oysters. "

"It has a shuttle service from the Sendai station to the hotel. Great view from room and Onsen. The decor is slightly dated but in good shape. I would visit again!"

"It's a new property and we just paid 21 USD for a night for two people in double room. It was the best we could imagine to get anywhere in Japan. It's clean and a.good place to stay near Matsushima and Sendai and yet cheaply. Neighborhood is awesome too, and very close to train station."
