"Four years ago, we stayed at the Hotel Les Grands Montets as part of our Tour du Mont Blanc ten-day trek. We had two nights there as we prepared for our last two legs of hiking on our trek. Unfortunately, poor weather did not permit us to take the preferred route to the Lac Blanc -- wind and precipitation made that leg too dangerous. We did an alternate route. We decided to complete the Lac Blanc section one day. This year, we completed that leg of the trip under excellent weather conditions that ensured a safe climb through the latter and cable sections. Our decision to stay at the Hotel Les Grands Montets was based on easy access to these hikes and the comfort of one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in --- great breakfast, fabulous spa, and an excellent staff. Highly recommend."

"Too many nice things to say… - Friendly - Helpful - Great location to town and bus stop - if you are going to spend money on a nice dinner try the half board… the 2 restaurants onsite were amazing and the Breakfast Buffet was hardy and plentiful - Stored my luggage for free for 11 days and had it in my room when I returned - Coffee machine in the lobby 24/7… lattes, hot choc and more - even an umbrella on the rainy afternoon "

"Great spot for exploring the area and well placed for shops and food in the centre of Chamonix. We booked a room with a mountain view and were lucky enough to be on the Mont Blanc side of the hotel. Worth checking when you book/before you check in. The room itself was all great. No air conditioning, but we didn't need it as it's cooler in the mountains than elsewhere in July. The only thing missing from the room were tea and coffee making facilities."

"We had a fantastic stay and truly felt looked after from the moment we arrived. The valet parking was seamless, and having our car cleaned was such a thoughtful touch – it really made us feel special. The evening meal was exceptional – great quality and beautifully presented. While we were a bit disappointed with the breakfast, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. The service, comfort, and attention to detail throughout the stay were definitely 5-star. Would happily return!"

"My holiday started off poorly as my baggage did not arrive with me. I received it 5 days later. The staff at Lyret were empathetic and so supportive in helping including taking receipt of my luggage when it arrived even after I had checked out. They were ever so kind and helpful. I am grateful."

"Perfect hotel for pre and post flights from Geneva. Rooms are a good size and clean. Restaurant was closed on The Weeknd. Bar service available. Staff were friendly and helpful. Plan travel to take the bus to/from airport/hotel, very convenient and cheap. I got an uber under 3 miles cost 24 Swiss francs. On the way back I had to get the shuttle which is operated independently but pick up at hotel, info is in reception. This was 20 euros. Had to leave for airport before bus service started or would have definitely got the bus. "

"The hotel is easy to find and has an option for paid parking. The staff at the front desk was very friendly as was able to communicate in English. We stayed in the family room on the top floor with our three boys (ages 16, 13, 9) and they loved the bedroom nooks and the Pac-Man machine. The room was very clean. We were there on a very hot night in July though, and the room was very warm - it could use some fans during the hottest days. We enjoyed getting a drink at the bar and sitting in the small garden area outside. There’s a nice reception area in the lobby for drinks or playing games. The whole hotel was decorated really fun and was modern with a youthful energy. I would stay again. "

"We stayed in room 306. There is a bus station right next to it, if you are staying in summer and crack windows for air (as there is no AC), it stays noisy till past midnight. There is a restaurant in the back (Le Privilege) they had loud live music till midnight. Overall we liked the hotel and stay again. "

"This is a beautiful hotel with excellent staff. Amazing breakfast and dinner were included with our stay. Convenient to main shopping and dining street and bus station. Only issue was lack of AC or even ceiling fans (they did provide a Dyson airblade which sort of helped) for climate control. The balcony slider provided some relief from the heat, but not enough for anyone sleeping in interior room of family suite."

"Unfortunately, i broke my ankle just before arriving here. The staff went out of their way to help me. It seems like i am in a beautiful location with trails right outside my window. It's ashame i can't walk, but i will be back!"
