"Super choice of hotel as it is near the station, so it easy to get to & from. It is also located a bit away from the main shopping area, so quieter than if nearer the town. The staff too were very friendly & helpful."

"Every where in the hotel was very clean and well presented, the dining room was spacious and comfortable, breakfasts were amazing. The bar was also good and although we didn't eat the food looked good. The hotel and bar are very dog friendly. Everyone was warm and welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay. If in the area we would definitely stay here again"

"Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Comfy bed, spacious room, great shower. Food choice was good. Downside the amount of curry my wife had could of been more plentiful. My teriyaki fish needed more seasoning, I don't usually add salt or pepper to meals but in this case had to. Saying that my 2 friends steak and linguine was apparently lovely. The full English was exceptionally good and plentiful "

"Unfortunately, the check-in at this hotel was one of the worst I’ve experienced. Firstly, they do not accept American Express, which was inconvenient and not clearly stated in advance. The receptionist then struggled to process my alternative card, insisting it didn’t work. I politely asked her to try again and of course, the card worked perfectly the third time, confirming it was a user error on her part. What made the situation worse was her lack of apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. Instead, her attitude was dismissive and unnecessarily rude. She did not appear to have the experience or professionalism required for a front-facing role, which set a poor tone for the stay."

"Fabulous views over the harbour. Bit strange that the bungalow is in the beer garden but it wasn’t noisy and it was quite handy! Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of choice. "

"This was a rabbit warren of a hotel, with rooms of all shapes and sizes scattered throughout the site. We were initially given a very dark room, which was a strange shape, and a yapping dog next door; we were given a much better room when we complained. There was a problem with the wifi connection throughout our stay, and as the mobile phone signal was poor, we had to leave the hotel to get an internet connection. There was insufficient car parking on site and so we had to pay £10.80 per day at a nearby car park. "

"Very luxurious and comfortable the only problem we had was the kingsize bed was 2 singles put together ànd the mattress topper did not stop thre being a distinct line down the center which was sometimes a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast gave a great choice amd was vert tasty. The pool was good but closed early 6pm itvwould hzbe been nice to enjoy the facilities "

"The room was great, clean, tidy and lots of space and the value, I thought, was excellent. Checkin was a little slow, felt more like a pub with a side hotel. It felt the barmaid was busy with customers, taking priority over hotel guests. That said, everything else was as good as could have been expected."

"We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and had a great time. Our room was lovely and very clean. The breakfast menu is varied plentiful and very good. Gillian and Karen are very friendly and helpful. Have to mention the desserts which we had one evening which were delicious. "

I would highly recommend as it is near the castle and other places to visit such as the beach and museum. We had a great stay and will definitely visit again."
