Veracruz is wonderful. It is full of old colonial buildings. Food is inexpensive and easy to find. That said, it is a port town. There is poverty everywhere. Building are falling apart. Just a general seediness and decay. But fun. And people are nice

Veracruz is great ! Love the city, the food the people Love everything about Veracruz
"I love that the hotel is near the historical area. However, the area has seen better days. The area is safe, there are marines and police everywhere. Our view from our hotel room was an abandoned lot. The government is doing its best in restoring the area. Be aware when going there are a lot of ruins and unmaintained buildings. "
