"My husband and I stayed here for one night and I was surprised at how nice it was! The recent reviews I looked at were pretty harsh so I was worried but I didn’t have an issue.
One person mentioned stains on their carpet in their room but my room didn’t even have carpet. The beds were very comfy (especially compared to where I stayed the night before). Everything worked and was clean. The shower was a little old looking though and could use a clean/fix but overall very good for the price!
The staff was very kind when I saw them and the location is great (right by a McDonald’s, Dunkin and Walmart).
Only thing that was rough was the smell. The use glade plug ins or something in the hallway and if you have a sensitive sniffer like myself
It was a bit rough. I had to air out the room some. It wasn’t a bad smell, it was supposed to smell like that after all, but I’m sensitive to perfumes and scents. Recommend they cut back on some of those air fresheners.
Also loved that the windows opened a good amount! It was nice to get fresh air in and happy it didn’t only open a crack like most hotels "
"Very much enjoyed the hotel and the property. Clean and charming through. However for our family member who needed handicapped accessibility there were limitations in the bAthroom and th elevator that was only operable 9:00 am to 10 pm."
"Hotel was clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly good with multiple options. We had dinner at the restaurant right on site. This hotel is on a quiet street and is close to Ticonderoga attractions. We would stay there again. "
"No problem with check in. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and explained a few thing about the area. The room was very clean and had been recently updated. If in the area, would definitely there again"
HIGHLANDS CASTLE overlooking Lake George.. plus 2 other Castles!
10/10 Excellent
"This was more than just another place to stay, it was a great experience. We stayed in the cottage and it was better than described. It was a perfect place to spend time relaxing. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen provided everything we needed. The entire unit was very clean. John and Yvonne were warm and gracious hosts. I just can’t say enough good about it all. "
