"I got a great room with sea view. Room and bathroom are big. The view was breathtaking. And balcony with veranda was large. Breakfast is great and included. Rio vermilo is close by with bars and clubs close by. Casa Teresa is a restaurant close by to eat Bahian food. Everything is walkable. Go see lighthouse. Rooms can be upgraded with new fixtures and furniture. Overall very good hotel. Gym needs improvement. "

"My mom, sister, and I had an amazing eight-day stay at Hotel Grande de Barra. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and cared for. Every single staff member was helpful, attentive, and genuinely kind, which made our experience even more special especially since we don’t speak the native language. The kitchen staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well-fed. They were so accommodating and warm that it truly touched us. Our room was spacious and clean, and anything we needed was handled promptly and with care. The personalized service made it hard to say goodbye, not just to the city, but to the hotel itself. It felt like leaving family. The hotel is not only beautiful and well-kept, but it’s also in the perfect location just steps away from two stunning beaches, close to great restaurants, and only a short drive to the main attractions in Bahia. Without a doubt, anytime I return to this area, I will always stay at Hotel Grande de Barra. The people, the views, the location, it’s all unforgettable. However you should really, really, really invest on purchasing mattress sheets with the elastic bands the grab the mattress. What is up with using regular sheets on the mattress?? Have of the time, after a few tosses and turns during the night, one ends up sleeping on the bare mattress. Thank goodness it was clean. Nevertheless, it was still gross. "

"This has been my favorite property in Salvador Brazil for many years. Unfortunately. This place is turning to any other high end hotel. They have modernized it so it looks more like a resort. However, they have kept the animals, lagoon, and the nature hike. There are monkeys in the trees, coconut trees, etc. the best thing about this place is the continental breakfast! The best breakfast I’ve ever had!"
