Bedford is applauded for its festivals with enlightening attractions such as Old Bedford Village and Fort Bedford Museum. This historical city has something for everyone including coffeehouses as well as sights like Bedford Speedway and Bedford Candies. All are within a small-town setting.
I had time to visit some of the sites in the area this time. I went to Old Fort Bedford and Historic Bedford Village. The Fort especially was a very well done attraction. I have been to many local history museums and it was one of the best ever.

Excellent
Bedford offers a great deal of local history and charm; however, there are some really cool up-to-date eateries and coffee shops. The area is very pet friendly!

Easy to get on and off the highway; there was an all-night Sheetz near the hotel, which was good, as I got in pretty late, (Said Sheetz also had an EV charging station, which may be useful for some travelers.)

I commented to my wife about how friendly the folks in town were whom we met.
"Stayed one night on a trip to Ocean City. Very clean, cold room, warm blankets, dark, quiet. Breakfast the next morning provided various options and the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. One lady in particular (wore glasses, short curly hair) walked around checking on guests while they had breakfast and even cleaned their tables for them. "
"The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet with a great bed and pillows. The hot tub was nice but the water was cloudy. "
"Great place to stay. The hotel has such an interesting history. It has an historic look and feel, but not run down at all. There's even a fun little "museum" in the basement level. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent location too. It's surrounded by shops and places to eat. "
"From check in to checkout was fantastic. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary and in our room was a card and cake from the staff. Service is amazing, restaurants are great and to top it off the casino is the cherry on top. Rocky Gap is definitely my Happy Place. Highly recommended!"
"Power went out in our neighborhood after someone hit a pole. So, this was a last minute reservation. The staff was quick, helpful, the room clean & comfortable."
