"i am very familiar to Sweden, especially Ystad and Simrishamn, but that’s not a very important factor, when it comes to why i love that hotel. I wish there were a way to upload photos and videos to give a more detailed review. First of all, i am a big fan of antics and buildings that have been around for decades, and this building offers that sort of reach into the past vibe. The rooms and hallways are adorned with interesting portraits and posters of artists and celebrities, and it’s one of those places that still use an actual key to access the rooms (there’s a digital entry at the main entrance as well. Everything is nearby, the city hall, the train station, lots of shops and restaurants, all within 2-15 minutes from the hotel. Do not rent a car. it is simply NOT needed! I had the privilege to enjoy breakfast at one of the locations where they shot the tv series Wallander (Netflix.) My room opened into the small courtyard, and it was simply a much appreciated add-on. If you’re a writer and want to have some quiet time to chill or write…this is a place to consider. I will definitely go back, despite having the option to stay with friends and family. "

"This boutique hotel was an unexpected delight. In a nineteenth-century building made comfortable for the 21st century while preserving some of the feel of the past. Staff were warm and helpful. Fantastic breakfast buffet that caters to a wide range of preferences. Friendly advice for first-timers--it's in the walking area of Ystad so don't expect to drive up to the door. Very cheap parking is nearby though. "

"I had a wonderful stay at Bed and Books in Glemminge. The B&B is located in a beautiful area and close to Ystad. Lena, the owner of Bed & Books, is a good hostess, kind and very helpful. She enjoys talking with her quests, is genuine, and that is always important in making them feel welcomed! I would definitely recommend and will return to stay again. Thank you."

"Mladen & Janna were the perfect hosts! Delightful. Endearing. Funny. Accommodating. Willing to talk with us (American tourists) for much longer than we expected. We'll invite them to stay with us in the U.S. (Virginia) Food was great! Altogether a most unique & memorable stay. Plus, they're both actors & musicians...she sings...he plays the electric bass guitar. Highly recommend for those who (like us) never need a pricey 5-star (sterile) hotel. : )"

"We weee taking the ferry to Rostock and needed a place to stay the night before. If you are going on the morning Stena line ferry this hotel is beyond perfect. Not only is it in the same building as stena line terminal but it is exceptional in all regards. The dinner the night before was 5 stars! Plus breakfast and exceptional service from the staff. Room was great and spacious as well. If visiting southern Sweden this is a pure gem "

They greeted us with warm smiles and made the check-in seamless. Their attention to detail and willingness to assist with any requests truly made our stay special. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel itself was incredible, the decor, atmosphere and ambience was second to none. "A charming country estate retreat. Host was very welcoming. The family room with maisonette 2nd bedroom and spacious bathroom was great. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of delicious meats, presumably from the pigs that are farmed here too. Just beware the premium prices of imported beers."

"We used this hotel just outside Trelleborg after the afternoon ferry from Rostock. They gave us a code to access our keys which worked well despite it being dark on arrival. Breakfast was in the golf clubhouse and they cooked us eggs and bacon to go with the cold buffet , all looking out to sea .All good but you may need an umbrella to go for breakfast. Courtesy kettle for tea in the room. I only saw staff at the golf club."
