"I can not recommend this hotel enough. Antonio and the rest of the staff are extremely accommodating, with Antonio accommodating our very late check in time (~3 am) and offering us a discount on our laundry. The hotel breakfast is delicious and the area around the hotel is gorgeous with amazing views of the mountains offered right on the back patio."

"Hotel is in an older building and represent an older style - very good rooms and some great views. Breakfast was excellent - staff were very friendly. Finding the place in a car was a challenge as was parking but we had a great stay and enjoyed the experience. "

"Stunning stay in the hills above Gjirokastër. Beautiful hotel, food at the restaurant was amazing, stunning pool area and the staff could not do enough to ensure an amazing stay. If you are driving yourself to the hotel, do NOT follow Google maps, sure you ask for the road route video before you arrive to make life easier. The road leading through the town are very narrow and steep."

"We stayed 1 night in a triple room. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also good and offered a good variety including made to order eggs. The hotel is a short walk from the old Bazaar and offers amazing views of Gjirokaster, we could see the castle from our room. "

"Beautiful hotel, newly built last year. Beautifully decorated in Albanian style and lots of Albanian pictures/artefacts etc on show. Room was very comfortable and a good size, shower was lovely. Breakfast was great, was made when we arrived in morning and brought out to us fresh. This included some hot Albanian foods, fruit, juice, coffee, cake. Lovely! Staff very friendly and helpful and the manager gave us a lift up to the town at night. Location great, just about 10 minute walk to bus station, 20mins or so up to the start of the walk to the castle/old bazaar. Free WiFi was good. No complaints at all, highly recommend! I willl be returning next time I am in Albania for sure 😃"

"The staff is wonderful. The room is nice and clean. The breakfast is fantastic as well. Parking is limited and the roads are tight. We pulled up and a male staff member unloaded our suitcases and then moved the car for us to where it could be parked. I would recommend doing this as we never would have known to park where he did. It is about 6 - 7 min walk from the bazzar and maybe 15 -20 min from the castle. I would absolutely stay here again."

"We loved it so much we decided to stay a second night. Very comfortable and clean rooms. Great hospitality and it is a family owned and run guesthouse. The grandmothers made an amazing breakfast that consists of tea, coffee, fried eggs, delicious bread, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, cheese, butter, and fig jam. Location was good, a lovely walk to the castle. I could see myself spending a week here. "

"Amazing location with a spectacular view. Felt like we were in the Himalayas! It’s a hair-raising drive up but worth it. Joanna welcomed us and made us feel at home. The thick bearskin-type blankets were fabulous and kept us warm all night. Because we were there off-season, there were no amenities to speak of. The only drawback is that, due to its incredible location, you cannot walk to a store or restaurant; you must drive all the way back down. But we would absolutely stay here again! Can’t imagine how incredible it is in spring and summer."

"What a wonderful setting and building. We highly recommend this Villa on your visit to Permet. Our room was super comfortable from the bed to the bathroom. The staff was dedicated and friendly. We were in Permet in the late fall and so the dinner options in town were limited so we decided to make a reservation at the Villa's dining room for dinner. We were not disappointed. Everything was great. The setting, the appetizers, salad, wine and main course and the service was fantastic. The provided breakfast was delicious. The deep fried bread and fruit square was a nice touch. The breakfast menu was choice of 6 or so items prepared to your liking. The Villa is an easy walk to the downtown for exploring and easy access to hiking up the hills behind the Villa. We would not hesitate to return to this Villa in the future."

"Arrived at hotel and was double charged for booking (by Expedia and front office staff) at checkin. Staff/Manager apologetic and refund the difference in cash.Was initially given a car park view room with balcony over a smoking area and cigarette smell coming up from below. Was promptly given a new room overlooking the river. Excellent hotel and facilities, staff friendly and everything clean. No USB outlet in room."

"My family and I booked three rooms at Furra and had a wonderful stay! The rooms were recently renovated and are very clean. The restaurant downstairs had excellent food and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Furra if you're visiting Gjirokaster! The street can get loud at night but if you're there to vacation and enjoy festivities, you'll be in the crowd anyway. "
