"Loved everything about our stay! The location is so peaceful and remote. But close enough to Blackheath to enjoy hiking and it has a great little pub nearby. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. We loved the private spa, valley /lake views and firepit. "

"Wonderful stay at Carrington Hotel, regrettable only for 1 night. A special treat for myself and granddaughter. I came in late 1990's and it was almost derelict - wonderful to see it restored to it's former glory. Everything was perfect, ambience of public areas also made it memorable. Highly recommend a stay here, you won't regret it."

We also had a personal electric heater in our bedroom. The staff were very helpful and let us leave luggage in their store room on the arrival and departure days. Parking was right out front and it’s a very well laid out hotel, all rooms I saw were ground floor so perfect for anyone with mobility issues or just tired from a long day and lugging bags inside. The room was clean and warm. The best find for me was the restaurant - cosy and warm, a wide menu, friendly and efficient staff .. a real pleasure with the gas fire place and large windows. "

Having a fridge and microwave in the kitchenette was really helpful. The car park lights at night, and the really bright hallway lights were the only thing that was annoying, but I guess they keep them on for security. "
