"Nice and big room. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable, the sheet was clean. The bathroom wall, glass was not clean and there are a lot of water stain, but nothing concerning. The staff was really nice."

"This resort is quite good and very spacious. As a family of four, we had plenty of room and felt very comfortable. The amenities were also impressive. Complimentary snacks, beverages, and coffee(pods)—a pleasant surprise, as these are usually not free in many other hotels—were available throughout the stay. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choices and a large, airy dining hall. Since we stayed on a weekday, there weren’t many other guests, so we could easily pick what we thought was the best table, with a beautiful view of the fountain in the front yard. In the afternoon, we spent some enjoyable time at the pool in the backyard. My sons had a lot of fun playing with water and water guns. While it’s not comparable to a water park in terms of attractions, it is still a great feature to have. Later, we bought discounted tickets to the amusement park, but unfortunately, we had to return them due to heavy rain. The lady at the counter was very understanding and processed the refund without any questions, even though the reason for returning the tickets was obvious. The parking lot, like everything else here, is spacious and conveniently located on the L1 floor. It's free until the evening on the day of checkout, which is another plus. Overall, we had a great experience. I hope we can return one day."

"This hotel provides free daily breakfast and laundromat, staffs are professional and friendly. I did not like their gym hours. I hope they can make it 24 hours. The door to the laundry room also could be wiped clean more often. "

"Tried to cancel thru the Expedia virtual service, several times, to no avail. Never stayed, rebooked to another location. When I booked, the location given in Maioli was behind a gas station in centre of town. 24 hours prior to arrival, I verified the address on Google map and it was outside the city, in the hills. Since I am cycling, I wasn't going to launch myself into the Taiwanese hills, after a day of cycling."

"The grounds are absolutely spectacular. Incredible, world-class gardens, village charm, and a true cultural experience. The ambiance is incredible. The staff was also amazing. One staff member was a particularly great English speaker, and throughout the day, she would proactively check on us and offer recommendations or help. Other staff wasn’t as good with English, but were incredibly genuine and caring, and the language challenge was nothing a translation app couldn’t overcome. Rooms were spacious and super unique adding to a beautiful cultural experience. However, the bathroom area had no fan or dehumidifier and had a mold problem. Plus, no daily housekeeping, led the room to smell musty and unfresh after a day. The food was all vegetarian. The lunch restaurant is only open on the weekend and is super high quality and not an issue. But the main restaurant felt more like a vegetarian camp buffet. You need a car or (cheap) taxi to visit other villages in the area for other food options, which is fun, but better if it wasn’t as much of a necessity. I still recommend to most who aren’t too persnickety and looking for a unique cultural experience, but I think you’ll find that the village has amazing potential to be a super unique, luxury, yoga/zen/Taiwanese retreat, but it doesn’t quite deliver all around to command a solid 5 star review. For us, pricing was fair, but if they round out the experience, could charge a good premium."

"Great hotel. We were initially charged an additional guest fee despite my receipt saying it was for 2 people already. They refunded the charge without hesitation upon check-in later in the day. Was able to store our luggage before check-in and they were located in the room upon check-in. Provided breakfast as well."

"My stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The customer service staff displayed a bad attitude, and I was assigned a room with excessive sunlight, making it uncomfortably hot. When I informed the reception, they refused to resolve the issue unless I paid extra to upgrade, even though I noticed other rooms were vacant (their open doors made it clear). This feels like a deliberate tactic to make guests pay more by assigning them poor-quality rooms initially. The room itself was in terrible condition—far from clean, with a crumpled and untidy bedsheet, as shown in the attached photo. For a property listed as 2 stars but misleadingly advertised as 3 stars on Hotels.com, the quality and service were completely unacceptable. Considering the high price, I expected much better. This hotel is by far the worst I’ve ever experienced, and the rating needs to be adjusted to reflect the actual standards."

"The rooms were clean and spacious and the kids loved the tub! The addition of a filtering dispenser was a nice touch of convenience for all of us. The western style dishes served at breakfast were not to our taste, though the asian style dishes were delicious. We recognize that tastes are subjective however."

"Great place for onsen outside usual popular locations. Place gives an upmarket feel and provides good quality. Very impressed with Breakfast buffet and Dinner buffet. Getting here will require a car ride as it is literally in the middle of nowhere. Has a 7-11 (opens till 2200) within 2 mins walk. A 24-H Hi-Life convenient store will require a drive out."

"The room I was staying is a minimalist style, but the view from the window is gorgeous and the manager is super friendly and considerate. He helped me with plan changes and taxi arrangement which made my trip more enjoyable."
