"Very nice hotel, breakfast has plenty of choices and offers something for everyone. The room are nice and the bed comfortable. I had only 2 issues, the aircon did not work in our room, luckily was not hot, and the check-in stops at 10:30. I was coming from a long drive and I was stunned by it. Got lucky the guy at the desk was running late and helped me out but the entrance barrier did not open and you kinda stuck on the outside car park if you cannot go across the grass with the car. Overall a good stay and i will stop again."

"Great stay! Beautiful hotel, lots of different buildings with different decor. Storks nesting on the brick tall chimney, such a nice treat. Food was great, staff super nice and helpful. They spoke English which was great because I took Spanish in school not German, so thank you! "

"Lovely accommodation food really good and great choice of breakfast. The only fault we had is with parking, after having driven 7 hours we found nowhere to park. We had to park on pavement across road, don't rely on parking being available. I think the great location and setting meant other non residents used the hotel parking."

"We booked a double room and had a single duvet and one pillow. There was no control for the TV and nobody to ask for one. There was no internet for the duration of our stay. We could not check out as there was no person on duty at 9-15am despite reception supposedly available until 11.00 am. We had to leave our room key on the letter box. Could not recommend this hotel."

"After 1300hrs on a Sunday, check-in is bua a machine in a lobby off the car park, I met staff who were on their wst out and they were helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable, clean but basic. The price paid seems fair. Breakfast is an additional €14.90, the selection was very good and food quality is excellent. "

"There were renovations taking place during our atay which made finding the building difficult to find as the hotel sign was covered. Make sure you don't show up early for check-in as the doors are locked during certain parts of the day and only accessible with a key you receive when checking in. These are just friendly warnings for a better visit. The hotel itself was charming, clean, and full of modern amenities. The staff were all friendly and helpful and could accommodate French, German and even English speakers. It was the highlight of a multi-city trip. If you are visiting for other reasons, we highly recommended you visit Chateau de Fleckenstein and eat at the onsite restaurant. Make sure you request local Alsace cuisine."

"In addition to a lovely hotel with great reception, there is a fantastic restaurant in the hotel! Really great meal and super great staff all around!"

"Parking outside, little bit away from the entrance. Main building is the excellent but side building less. Old small inconvenient shower but it was a cheap room. Overal the waiter was super nice but the rest of the staff less. Nice area, good food but expensive for a walking buffet."

"Positive: the room/apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Our stay was short, one night and out the next day. We were within walking distance to a grocery store but most restaurants were not open for dinner in the area, which seemed odd. Negative; the listing gives the impression that this is a hotel, but it is more like an apartment building that has been a little run down. I’m not sure where ‘lakefront’ comes from but there is certainly not a lake within view at all. This was a completely residential area. A peek out the living room window shows a home a couple lots over with a rural feel to it but that is certainly not seen from the front of this building. Unfortunately, the restaurant and bar were not open, it was under renovation, and that would have been nice to know because that was our original plan for food. I don’t like to post anything negative about a listing, especially when our comfort level was fine. I’m only posting this note because the advertising differs from the actual reality. "

"Shabby chic hotel, which kind of fits into the environment. This was the second time we stayed here as it’s a perfect overnight stop for us. Yes it needs updating, bathroom decor late 70s, early 80s but all in all, good value for money. Hotel is in a great location for walking, cycling and hiking."
