"Alice is one of the most kindest hosts I’ve ever met. Going above and beyond does not begin to cover the words needed to describe the experience Alice provided. Before we even arrived, she woke up out of her sleep to assist me. I hadn’t realized the time difference and she still woke up to with some requests needed. She arranged our transportation, she personally took me on a tour guide to the best places in the city near the town’s most known archeological church. Then took me to get some authentic pizza, handmade gelato, and local wine. I mention this because she knew the area and knew transportation was difficult and wanted us to have food for the night. She woke up early and prepared a beautiful and tasteful breakfast for my friends and me. And packed our luggage while we ate said breakfast. I cannot begin to thank her enough for the kindness shown because she turned a day or horrific issues that she did NOT cause into a beautiful night and morning. She’s not just a host, she’s an experience and everyone should stay with her. Thank you for the kindness and generosity you’ve shown us Alice. You are truly one of a kind. "

"Arriving at the ultra modern hotel we were dubious but after easily parking (free) we entered the vast entrance and we were quickly allocated our room with balcony and offered a credit for the spa. The room was modern and spacious with a very comfy bed. The fridge was filled with free drinks and in the morning breakfast was a dream. All the highest quality fixtures and fittings made this stay 5 star. "

"Very smooth and enjoyable stay. First time travelling with our 7 month old baby so were a bit apprehensive, but staff were very helpful and accomodating to our needs amd request. Would stay here again when visiting Udine."

"We expected more. We stayed at 7 places, 6 were airbnbs, and this was the most expensive and the worst. The disappointment started with no breakfast. we read that there was breakfast with a room but didn't realise this didn't mean appartments. the photo you have in this section shows the breakfasts There was no kettle, microwave, oven, strainer for pasta etc. The fridge had been switched off. I guess to be green but we didn't realise. Just didn't meet our expectations. "

"The Castello is great but the spa is the real highlight. A bit undersold on the website and on the booking engines. It's a heaven of tranquillity, with jacuzzi, pools, saunas, steam rooms, cold rooms, massages, all in great scenery. "

"This property looks great from outside but it needs a full renovation badly. It felt like walking into a hotel in the early 90s. Carpets in the rooms are worn out and faded. Staff don’t show a lot of enthusiasm for what they do. Housekeeping was the worst. Upon arrival I noticed duvets were not very clean. A lot of hair on and in the duvet. I had to ask for them to be replaced. The shampoo and body wash container in the bathroom was empty throughout my stay. I travel with my own so didn’t need it but was waiting for housekeeping to noticed. I even tipped the cleaner one day hoping they’ll do a bit extra but no improvements. Although rooms were cleaned daily, staff did not change used glasses throughout the room even if they had wine from the day before. The casino, coffee shop, and location is all this property has going for it. "
