"Owner Phillip and his Manager Chris were very accommodating , always available. Breakfast was great, music provided on certain evenings were amazing. Kauai Inn is a quiet hideaway with easy access to the beaches and restaurants in Lihue. Its a great central location between driving to the east/north side of island and west side of island.

"The hotel has a great location right beside Lydgate Park. So if you have kids, there is a great playground nearby and some safe ocean pools they can swim in. The food in the restaurant and bar is very good. And the rooms are clean and quiet. But the carpets are old and need to be replaced. They have gone to every other day housekeeping, and the main restaurant isn’t open for lunch. And honestly I don’t know what the resort fee was for—there just aren’t that many activities. "

"Really a great place to stay. We got a small suite with a kitchen which was quite convenient when vacationing in Kauai. Had a fridge/dishwasher/washer/dryer so we could fly home with clean and dry clothes (no stinky wet bathing suit in a plastic bag). 2 decent restaurants on site, and many food options near by in old Koloa town. Bed was OK, shower was great and the toiletries were of good quality. 2 pools on site, right on the beach which is good for swimming. Very happy with our stay. "
