"The location is great. But the property owner wasn't honoring expedia booking . Since it was late (5:30pm) , he allowed me to stay one night but next day I had to check out. Overpriced for the quality or upkeep of the lace. It is great for people looking for unconventional family owned traditional set up but a non for business travellers. Only one electrical point for charging in one room was another turndown "

"I recently had the pleasure of staying at Diamond Resort in Malindi, and I can confidently say it was one of the best all-inclusive experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and pampered. The resort itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds, spacious and comfortable rooms, and breathtaking views of the ocean. The all-inclusive package truly exceeded my expectations. The variety and quality of food were outstanding — from fresh seafood to international cuisines, every meal was a delight. The bars offered a fantastic selection of drinks, and the attentive bartenders always made sure our glasses were never empty. Would stay there again! Highly recommended."

"I went as a single female traveller and I felt safe and well looked after. Upon checking in they allowed me to check in early and they also upgraded my room which I greatly appreciate. I came in low season but I still throughly enjoyed my stay. I will definitely make a trip back. "

"The hotel is beautiful, has a lovely pool but it is far away in farmer’s field and very difficult to find. Google maps sent me in the wrong direction. There should be signs and clear instructions on how to get here. It’s easy if you take the right road from the main highway. Staff is friendly and helpful. "

"The Lawford was a lovely place to stay in Malindi. The 3 bedroom villa and private pool were amazing. Large upstairs and downstairs lounge areas. Lots of space for everyone. There was a full kitchen with all the pots, pans, utensils etc. Service was great. Staff were delightful. Had fun with pool and table tennis. We would live there, if we could! Our neighbors were a bit loud but management tried to help with the situation. The beach is close but the water was brown and not “inviting.” There is a river just north that drains into the ocean right above the property. We would definitely visit again!"

"The staff were absolutely delightful and brilliant. Corazone Ndeya, Brian Angila and Hakim Mukungu were so warm, friendly, patient and informative. The food served was also fantastic with the chef's preparation of prawns, fish and chicken were absolutely delicious. I look forward to coming back next year. "

"The hotel was lovely especially as it was right on the beach. The room was a good size with a very large four poster bed. and the food (and presentation of it) was excellent with plenty of choice. Would definitely recommend."
