The view from the rooms over the river is nice, but everything is very outdated. The main reason for my poor review was that I was sold a room in a building where the wifi was down. Wifi was important to me so I tried to address the issue with management. It turned out there was a room in another building that had wifi, but I could only switch if I paid for another room. From my point of view, I shouldn't have been sold the room in the first place and it was clear the room didn't offer what was advertised, their move should have been to let me move to another room. If I'm spending $180 a night to stay somewhere, I expect to get what I'm paying for. If nothing can be done, I can accept that, but in this case mgmt wouldn't help me out because they were looking after their bottom line. I'm a repeat customer because I have work in thompson and I plan to stay at the riverfront for now on.
