Will Definitely Return
Excellent stopover on our way to Newfoundland. The owner is renovating and there is a marked difference compared to our stay in December. Great location. Good breakfast. Wonderful people.

Gteat location with lovely views
This Inn is in a great location with lovely views.
The owner is a very friendly & nice guy, it looked to us like he is in the process of renovating the property and is doing a good job.
The thing that is letting it down is the breakfast , it was of poor quality and the breakfast room isn't very welcoming.
This has all the makings of a great place once a few things are tweaked.

Old doesn’t scare me if it’s clean - nightmare
Room with water view but impossible to see through dirty windows. Terrible breakfast. Need deep cleaning and renovation.

Foghorn Alarm Clock
The motel was in a good location. Just a short drive from the newfoundland ferry. It definitely needs some updates. I had to use a paper clip to keep the curtain together. The staff was friendly; the breakfast was tasty. I enjoyed being awakened by the low moan of a fog horn.

Cockroach motel
This place should have zero stars. When i say its absolutely filthy, you can't even imagine how dirty it is. Cockroaches, dirty towels. Absolutely nothing good. Not cheap either. My son checked out after one night and owner wouldn't refund for the second night. Avoid at all costs. I think the owners friends write positive reviews for this place to have had 8/10, which is laughable

Filthy
It was filthy. We wouldn’t stay there and wanted to go somewhere else. We asked for a refund and they said to call hotels.com
We did and hotels.com called the hotel for a refund and the hotel refused.
In the end we had to pay for a room somewhere else and still got charged for this one.

Stay someplace else.
The room had an overpowering odor that stuck in your nose even after you left. There was dried urine on the toilet and the bed sheets and pillow cases were covered in brown stains. The room did not appear to be cleaned. Highway noise was loud through the poorly insulated walls and door. The tub drain had a large ball of hair in it and looked as if it had not been cleaned in a long time. Breakfast was included but we opted out after the poor condition our room was in, we did not want to eat food prepared there. We stayed at 6 different hotels and motels on our trip around Nova Scotia, and this one was by far the most neglected uncomfortable stop of our entire trip. The view was great and this property has a lot of potential, but in its current state, it is not worth anywhere near what they are charging.

Not safe to stay here, no privacy in rooms
Stayed in room 16. Felt like staying in an old garage with no insulation. Painted brick walls and tin ceiling with no soundproofing that you could hear all the noise from the upstairs room. Musty smell and damp inside the unit, it started making us cough and feel sick so we checked out early for the sake of our health and safety. Window coverings do not fully cover the window, no privacy or ability to blackout the room when sunrise is around 5:30am in the summertime. Unit had a new heat pump unit but does not have a wall control, management has a remote for the heat pump they "forgot" to give us. The unit was in very rough shape and dirty. Don't drink the tap water or use it to brush your teeth, it had a funky smell and reminded me of being in the Dominican Republic where tap water is only for the toilet and shower.
