When we made a reservation, we were told that there would be A/C. However, not only there was no air conditioner, all the linens had a distinct smell of the detergent. We have an allergy and it was very difficult to breathe with this smell and no A/C.

Delightful stay at this charming B&B! House and room are lovely, spotlessly clean, and king bed was very comfortable. Jim & Linda were both very welcoming and their conversations made breakfast even more enjoyable. The perfect example of old fashioned but not outdated. Every time we went into a room we kept commenting on how beautiful and unique each room was. Driving in through the city I was nervous it would be loud at night, but you’re far enough away to not get the noise and close enough to be close to all kinds of food and shopping options. The cats and complimentary breakfast make this exactly what you would want from a B&B.

This was our first B&B and it didn’t disappoint. We loved the proximity to downtown Portland (10min), although a car seems necessary. The rooms were cute, clean, and has comfortable beds. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious. The only negative is that you can smell cigarette smoke that seeps into the house/mildly in bedrooms, so if that bothers you it is useful to know. Otherwise great experience!

B&B in a charming older property but was not informed prior to booking about the shared bathroom down the hall. Dust in window unit AC. Friendly host but has two cats that roam the kitchen and the dining room! No local amenities so had to drive for meals.

Nowhere on the website does it say you're sharing a bathroom. I'm told this is not uncommon for a B & B, but that has not been my experience and I think it's worth mentioning. Although it's a smoke-free environment now, it's a very old house, and to a sensitive nose it's clear that it hasn't always been smoke-free.
