Mixed feelings about this place. We were in a host family house as part of a Spanish immersion program we attended. The kids didn’t like the food at the host home (and it was so loud!!!!), so we moved to this hotel. At Pinocchio, it was very quiet except for bird noises. There is a small pool the kids loved, although the water is always cold due to the altitude. Still, great to keep the kids happy. There are hammocks outside the rooms that are very fun, especially for the kids. They have a refrigerator and cooking area if you need these, along with purified water. There is a restaurant and bar that are ok. Not great. Seems it is a family operation and they are very friendly and were helpful with our Spanish education. We got to watch them put up a memorial for a deceased relative, with explanation of the details. The room is spartan, so bring your own shampoo, soap and if possible, a towel, since there is no maid room service as advertised. THE BIGGEST COMPLAINT IS THAT ON HOTELS.COM IT IS LISTED AS BREAKFAST INCLUDED BUT THAT IS NOT THE CASE. They demand extra money for this. If we had to do it again, we would have skipped the breakfast and gone to eat somewhere nearby. It’s not like it was a big breakfast buffet like in big city hotels. But it was not bad by any means. There are probably better hotels around but we got this last minute and it was an improvement over where we were staying, since the pool kept the kids occupied. I wouldn’t expect a Ritz hotel here!
