Beautiful Lodge with the Nicest Lodge Host

Beautiful Lodge with the nicest Lodge Host / Management. Rooms are very clean, updated and very comfortable bed. The surrounding area is very beautiful and has a great downtown with wonderful shopping and eating. I was here on business to get away from the city and relax. Can't wait to come back and bring the family for a vacation.

This is a nice getaway spot. There is plenty ofareas outside for hanging out and the bar/lounge is convenient. There was a live salsa band there so that was a fun surprise. The room was nice and clean. I would go back.

Very quiet & beautiful

We stopped here for 1 night on our Californian road trip with our 4 year old. We felt like the only people staying here!! The bar and cafe were closed (despite the cafe sign saying it was open...) and it seemed like the shop was opened when the proprietor felt like it (not open during advertised hours). Luckily we'd eaten in nearby at Boulder Creek Pizza & Pub, but we weren't able to get anything for breakfast. The old swimming pool would be such an amazing selling point if it was in use - it was a shame to see it locked away. The room had everything we needed, including a fridge & microwave, and the staff we met were friendly. Beware when exiting the car park - its a blind corner and we were very nearly smashed into when leaving. A mirror would be handy

Nice clean rooms. Easy parking. Little convience store on site. Live music on the weekends. Great place to have fun and unwind in the Santa Cruz mountains.

Hoping you are able to build up business after remodeling to restore this wonderful scene. I came often thirty years ago. I miss the dining room and hope that you can make this a full resort again. I see you are having music every weekend, that definitely helps! Enjoyed El Sol the other night, and there is a huge contingent of Salsa dancers in Santa Cruz. Loved the spa tub.

Reasonable place to stay near Boulder Creek, was there in January with a good price. Room was spacious and clean. Bathtub did not drain well. Staff were a bit unenthused but, hey, I get that, it was a cold, long winter night in what seemed like the off season.

Very nice place

Rich in history and natural beauty

The history alone is enought to check this place out. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. Very peaceful. The area is so beautiful and refreshing. My only complaint is that the coffee in the room was terrible, and that only mattered because there is no where to walk and buy your own. I can't wait to come back. I was assured that the great hall is under restoration, but that obtaining permits and making it happen is a slow process. I love places that have rich history. Im very glad that after the 2020, fire its open again to experience that history.
Carmen, 1-night trip

Nothing major, but deferred maintenance on old building that needs freshening up, painting, etc.
