This was the best hotel we stayed at in Japan. Check in and check out was quick, the hotel let us store our bags for the afternoon after checkout. This place had a bit of an unusual way of operating where room cleaning is optional and fresh towels are left in a paper bag at the door every day. Loved the area. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was there were guests (Moms) with their children utilizing the Onsen. These guests allowed the children to run around, yell, and splash, as if they were at a pool in a park or at home. My understanding is Onsen are for relaxing and meditating and on that particular evening it was not able to. Perhaps the staff needs to monitor that area a little more. Other than that this place was great.
