Location and price on point!

Great location and very cheap. Good value for money.

Great visit (again)

I really enjoyed my stay. I was welcomed warmly by the reception team and felt safe throughout my stay. My room was spacious and the fridge was a great help. The only slight downside was that the shower was not powerful at all. Otherwise a great trip and I would definitely stay again as the location is so convenient.

Had a great stay at goodenough college! Room was spacious, bed shockingly comfortable, the location is ideal, and as a solo female traveler I felt totally safe. I’d absolutely stay there again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Surprised at the nice fridge in room. Water didn't drain too well from shower in room but would require a major realignment of the floor. Not greatest comfort level of bed. But I would stay here again.

Oasis

This was an oasis in a very hot London. The garden is restful and peaceful. Staff are helpful, efficient and friendly. Freddie's provided excellent food and the best cup of tea I had in London. Have stayed before and will stay again. Just don't take a short cut through Coram fields. Adults must be accompanied by a child and if like me you don't realise this you will be politely but firmly challenged and asked to leave.

great location

This college is really well located and was very nice with 24 hour reception. There was no real explanation given as to the facilities available so it was hard to know what was available. Reception were very helpful when asked for assistance. The room was quite a decent size but the ensuite bathroom was small. Was nice to have a small fridge. The big drawback was the lack of AC when it was quite warm outside. I would stay again due to the room size, location and reasonable price. It was also nice to have easy access to a laundry.

6/10 Good

If you're traveling alone and want a fairly inexpensive, safe option near King's Cross - St Pancras, this place is pretty good. Otherwise, avoid it. The bed was narrow and uncomfortable, there was a smell of smoke in the hallways, and students were talking loudly, outside my window, all night (and I do mean all night: they were still at it at 5 in the morning).

Was okay

It was fine. Not a real hotel so it was very basic, but the room and bathroom and lounge were very clean. There was no air conditioning or fan so all of the rooms were very hot and the windows don’t open all of the way. There is currently a heatwave in London, so this made sleeping really uncomfortable as it was so hot and sticky with no breeze or any real ventilation. The bathroom also didn’t have a shower curtain, so water got all over the floor when you showered and ended up soaking the towel mat for the floor.

6/10 Good

Disappointed.

I thought i was booked ar London house where the food services was but when arrived I was directed to accomodations 10 min walk away. There was a fridge but no kettle or mugs in the room, nor fan in the room during a heat wave. i didnt get what was advertised. the single bed mattress was not comfortable.

4/10 Fair

Stayed here before several times and loved the hotel, hence booking again. But this time I was put in student quarters( I didn’t realise I wasn’t in the hotel rooms !!!. No coffee or tea, no milk. No TV , very uncomfortable mattress (thin and could feel all the springs ). Breakfast not included. Charged £279 for the privilege of staying in a room for one night mid week(1adult) . Travel lodge would have been far superior to this. This was also more than I thought I was being charged too, I thought the cost was £230 , which was still far too much for such a poor standard. Very disappointing Some staff were lovely and some were downright rude. Not experienced that here before, usually the staff are all lovely.

quiet neighbourhood in a central location

The hotel is located in the centre of London, within short walking distance from Russell Square and Holborn Tube stations or Kings Cross/ St. Pancrass railway station. Despite this, the surrounding area is very quiet which is because it's just next to Mecklenburgh Square Garden. Check-in was easily done, the room was clean and equipped with everything needed for a short stay and everything worked well. I can recommend this accommodation.

University accommodation at hotel standards but at university prices. Lovely grounds in a vibrant area and close to tube / bus routes. My new go-to place for London vacations.

Great spot to stay if you are on your own. You are only a 10-15minute walk to a train station and a lovely area to walk around

2/10 Poor

Awful Stay

If there’s only one review you read, make it this one. Our accommodation was awful. They stuck us in a basement 5 minutes from where we checked in. The room was old, musty, had obvious water damage, and pest control units in the bathroom. We had booked a private double suite, and it was disgusting. Do not book here.

Great room and good value

Lovely room, and great value. Room was very quiet with a wonderful view of the quad.

Very effective staff at both the College and Hotel

I have recent knee injuries so the climb up to my original room at the 4th floor of the Hotel was a struggle. But the magnificent Hotel reservations team managed to get me a single room at the College with attached bath at very short notice, intelligently moving the younger and fitter student to the attic room I had at the Hotel. The Hotel reservations staff member was called Zahari. I promised to make a personal statement of gratitude to him for his exemplary service standards and initiative to solve the problem I had. I also want to thank the front desk personnel at the Hotel for their very sensitive and kind attention to me during my stay and helping me move over to the College. The staff at the College were equally courteous and understanding. For the location, price and convenience for someone on a work trip and not needing a TV or other luxuries, I would recommend the College for a great and comfortable work trip.
