Underwhelmed Stay

We booked our stay as a little getaway for my partner’s 5 yr old daughter to swim on a dreary weekend in March. While the hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the king bed comfortable, the space in the room was especially limited while using the sofa bed. You could also easily hear people walking in the hallway and floor above. Most disappointingly, the pool was small and uncomfortably chilly for all of us. In stark contrast, the hot tub was too hot. Two other families we met in the pool area shared the same opinion. Worth noting, the bistro is hardly a restaurant, though there are options across the street. Booking through hotels.com reduced the cost, but I would not stay there again, even for the reduced rate, and certainly would not pay the regular rate of $350 through Marriott’s website.

Nice Facility- Needs Better Service

The facilities are nice and we enjoyed the ample outlets for our electronic devices. The shower was roomy with lots of places to put things. We liked the setup of the room and the inclusion of a love seat. We did not like that daily housekeeping services were not provided and yet there was a card asking for a tip for housekeeping! For what? The bed looked rumpled when we arrived. Hopefully, it was just a poor job of bed-making and no one had recently napped on it! There is a bistro where we had breakfast both days. It’s a little pricey and the food is just ok.

Should have gone with the Airbnb!

We stayed 2 nights here. For the almost $600 cost, we expected a nicer stay. There is no sound proofing at all. The first night, kids were running and yelling up and down the hallway and in the room above us from 11pm onward. There was no housekeeping for either day of our stay. The beds were ok, but only 1 pillow per person (there were 4 of us) and they were flat and had to be rolled up for better comfort. The hot tub was the only prize as it was nice and hot at 104 degrees and some comfort. The gym had decent cardio equipment but the water fountain was broken. We went to visit family at an Airbnb and were kicking ourselves for not doing the same. Next time, we will just do the Airbnb closer to Bousquet Mountain.
