This is a great choice for backpackers and folks doing a brief stay over in Nairobi. I can’t stress enough how excellent the staff is and we really enjoyed the bar and restaurant. Again, excellent staff and really tasty food! The only issue for us was that there wasn’t air-conditioning and a rather weak fan but as long as you ask to stay on the side where the sun rises as opposed to where it sets, the rooms are nice and cool in the evening. For the price, this is an excellent option in Nairobi.

Excellent Service and Staff

Excellent hotel. We had a small issue with a restaurant experience and the staff went way out of their way to make it right - which they absolutely did. We are very grateful for service professionals such as these. Food was excellent, rooftop bar was fun, great gym, and incredibly friendly staff - from the security team at the front gate, to reception, to the housekeepers and waitstaff on the roof - thank you to them for all their amazing kindness! We will be back!

Beautiful hotel, but terrible experience

The hotel was beautiful - and I would have given it 5 stars - BUT unfortunately 2 employees there literally destroyed my life, which far overshadowed what would otherwise have been a beautiful stay. The other employees were quite nice... BUT THESE TWO... I was staying there with my Kenyan fiance. The hotel was beautiful, service was great - EXCEPT for the one girl in the restaurant (who got angry when I forgot to tip her for room service) and the security guy who kept texting my cell phone with business proposals, after asking for my number and pretending to befriend me (he must have mistakenly thought I had money). So, both these individuals went to my fiance, behind my back, told her I was cheating on her (an outrageous lie), presumably out of spite. My fiance unfortunately took them seriously, stormed out and left me (and much worse that happened later, as a result, which I won't even mention) -- and my life has been in shambles ever since. And perhaps worst of all, the management did absolutely NOTHING after I brought this to their attention. So, in summary, this is a beautiful hotel with otherwise impeccable service, but make sure not to displease these 2 employees, who I believe still work there -- just look what happened to me; what would have been the wonderful stay of a lifetime instead turned into what has become a lifelong nightmare, and it makes me very sad. So be very careful when interacting with employees and definitely do not displease them.

We had such a pleasurable experience at this hotel. The staff were amazing! They were accommodating and friendly. The food was good and so were the drinks. It was also a very clean hotel. We received room service multiples times and they were fast and efficient. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Kenya. They are also very central to nice restaurants, shopping and the safari.
