We stayed here one night, while the country was dealing with heavy rain and winds. So much so that the road in and out of the area was flooded, and we were forced to stay longer. (I will talk more about this later.)
The room we stayed in was the 'loft' and is at the top nestled in amongst the bush / Pohutukawa trees. All windows look out to the bush with east facing windows also pockets of sand, sea/ beach.
The bed was equal to a 5-star hotel. Sooo comfortable! The room was perfect for a night away with my wife. Small kitchen, fridge, everything one would need. Plenty of space, while still being small enough to remain romantic and cosy.
So due to torrential rainfall, the coastal road flooded and we could not leave the area. The hosts offered for us to stay until the road opened (2 pm) at no charge which was hugely appreciated. We would certainly come back and recommend the studios.
The only thing I can think of to feedback on was the tank water. It smelt a little salty when having a shower, but we never noticed the taste.. however, the storm was particularly rough and coastal areas around New Zealand flooded, so I assume this huge amount of salt spray was the cause. Like I said, this wasn't a problem, just feeding this back to the hosts.
Thank you for the stay, we had an excellent time!
