Great location on waterfront, staff are superb especially Lauren who was super efficient and friendly, bed was comfy and room (6) was nice and clean. Breakfast was outstanding, full Scottish was freshly cooked and really tasty. The en-suite bathroom in our room however was ridiculously tiny, so cramped that it was impossible to sit fully on toilet as legs hit against pipes under sink. You could reach from toilet to switch electric shower on as it was that close. Water pressure was so low shower operated at a trickle and you had to step out of bathroom to have enough space to dry yourself but cold tap on sink was so powerful it sprayed water all over the bathroom. Overall, staff were brilliant but the place needs an equally talented plumber!

Hello, let's be fair, the property is in need of updates it's being done which is great it's not done over night possibly get it done then open after a shut down, it's a difficult situation l guess family and staff are great and they have not owned it long , fair prices and great food and drink so good luck with the updates, especially in the showers, and with water pressure without a pump on the top floor....

Booked for a last minute weekend that also had to be pet friendly and luckily we found The Waterfront. The room itself was clean & spacious with a great view (ensuite was small but they warn you about that) and breakfast was one the nicest I've had in a hotel. As for the staff, they were so friendly and helpful especially when we checked in late.

Just one night stop over - off the ferry. Surprised by the distance between ferry and hotel (20min) as the address given on the website was Stranraer - but it actually is in Portpatrick. Fantastic view from the room!!!
