Lovely stay

Just got back from a lovely weekend, it’s not posh but it’s fairly clean and comfortable, can’t complain for the price for 2 nights. Met some lovely people in the bar and the staff were all friendly. Thank you for having us.

We had a great stay here…,rooms were modern clean and comfortable..tea / coffee making in the room… good location shops and beaches close by.. Wetherspoons at the bottom of the rd…great for breakfast…bar in hotel was really nice Reception staff ( Shane) was really friendly and helpful …will definitely return,,,

Perfect for a cheap night away, needs tlc.

The staff were fantastic, the hotel's communal areas are perfect however the room we had was in desperate need of attention. Bedside tables were worn and hanging off the wall, the bath needed a clean. The room needs a bit of tlc. We slept lovely, it was quiet. For the price we cannot complain but what was advertised was not what we received.

Nice hotel!

Great little hotel in Barry, close walk to many local amenities. Staff at the hotel were absolutely lovely. Great hotel if on a budget. Only negative was beds were uncomfortable and curtains let in lots of light so difficult to sleep. Will be back, overall lovely hotel, thank-you for our stay

Loved it!!

Loved it. I was seeing a band in Cardiff and picked this hotel as it was close to the train station. Couldn’t have been happier with the service and the hotel. Not going to claim it’s 5 stars but it met all my needs and the late night bar was perfect for a refreshing drink after getting back from the gig.

Very disappointed in the bedroom, we had 2 rooms and unfortunately many things wrong with one of them! One of them had a few issues however I had my daughter who is 3 and unfortunately it was very very unsafe for her. The photo looks nothing like the rooms we stayed in, the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on the springs was coming through and smashed glass all outside the window as well as damp
High risk to my daughter who’s 3 as this is right by the bed side and could easily get caught around her neck.

Good value for money

The hotel needs some TLC. However it represents great value for money. The location area is very hilly and hotel has numerous stairs, which was difficult at times as I am asthmatic. Sean, the receptionist was extremely helpful and moved us to a room with easier access. The hotel provides a continental breakfast at a small cost. There is easy access to the train station.

Ok for a night

The Hotel was fine for 1 night, however the room was pretty rough around the edges. Carpet was stained, decor could do with an all round refresh. Corridors did have a bit of a damp smell to them. On a positive note the staff were very polite and accomodating and we managed to get a parking spot. However there is limited parking.

Rooms are perfectly adequate and clean. We had several issues with shower not working and door locks but staff did their best to resolve it and were very helpful We enjoyed our stay as it's centrally located and there's loads of eating options nearby.
