Our stay was very good. The Mountain Country Inn is a motor lodge with clients coming to visit family play and fish on the lake and make use of the regional amenities. We had beautiful warm weather and a nice small outdoor pool all to ourselves. It was a great visit for us and to visit our family in the area.

The rooms are dated but comfortable. We need a place to sleep. And it worked great for that.The pool looked nice. No breakfast at all but coffee maker in room.

If you're just looking for a place to spend a night or two, this place should fit the bill. It is "tired looking" and outdated, but our room was very clean and the staff were wonderful. Not a lot of amenities, decent outdoor pool.

The place was clean, quiet and comfortable. The owner ran the front desk and was very friendly. Keep in mind that this is an older motel but it’s a great value for just a place to sleep at night. The giant ice maker was definitely an added perk for stocking your cooler for a day on the lake. Would stay again, thank you!

It was affordable to stay. It's close to the attractions which made getting around easy. There were not that many diners nearby but I brought my food and drinks so it didn't make an issue. They have a pool but it was closed for cleaning so I couldn't take a dive.

Its definitely a older hotel, but the room was clean and everything worked as it should. The lady in the office was very friendly and made sure our stay was up to our expectations. She was also helpful in locating a place for us to have dinner very near by. We just need a room to get ready for a local concert we were attending and a quiet place to return for the night to get some sleep before we headed home. This place met that and with the nightly rate, we will definitely be back if we return to see another concert at the Lampe amphitheater.

Basic Clean Old School Motel

We chose this location so we could visit Dogwood Canyon and Top of the Rock. Friendly staff, room was older but really very clean. They have swimming pool which looked crystal clear but we didn't jump in because it was a little early in the season. It's a good place for a night or two. Note: no hairdryer in room, plan accordingly!
