This is an older building right downtown, but updated very nicely. The room was very large, with a nice sitting area, an extra bedroom and a kitchen. It was within easy walking distance of everything I needed. I would definitely stay again.

Great staff. The breakfast was fresh, hot, and hit the spot. The courtyard in back has a great feel with big trees and nice furniture. Location on the main drag could bother some people. Logging is the industry in town and the trucks never stop.

Amazing sleep. Ama,ing town. Amazing employees. Clean and the pizza take out to eat in the courtyard was great . We went 30 minutes out of our 17hr trip and when we do it again we will look forward to take the extra srive to stay in orofino at this hotel. Great job everyone!!!

Trip to visit family.

The Helgeson is a great little hotel in Orofino. We had a 1 bedroom suite. It was very roomy. The staff is excellent. The elevator is quirky. We enjoyed the back patio. The hotel is very convenient to restaurants, bars, stores, and such. Go to House of Juju. It's fantastic.

The hotel is definitely a bit dated, with older carpet and furnishings, and the air conditioner was loud and didn’t work particularly well — especially noticeable during a warm July stay on the third floor. That said, I was extremely impressed with how clean the room was. It was spotless, and that made a big difference. The true highlight of my stay was the housekeeper — incredibly friendly and genuinely a wonderful person. Her attention to detail really stood out. While the hotel could use some updates, for the price, it’s a great choice if cleanliness and friendly service matter to you. Would stay again.

This hotel is older but very clean and spacious. We only spent one night in transit but the bed was very comfy. The kitchen is limited in that it has only a few dish, skillet and utensils. It was nice to have a large refrigerator and a small stove to warm up food. I wouldn't recommend it for a long stay but it was great for one night. It is probably usually really quiet but we happened to be there on the 4th of July so the fireworks were close by and quite loud. Not faulting the hotel in any way for this, just stating why I can't say it ws quiet.
