This is a nice hotel. A couple of things to be mindful of: this hotel is in traditional Japanese style, so you have to take your shoes off after reception and place it in designated lockers. No shoes or sandals in the common areas. Also, the beds are low to the ground (in traditional Japanese style). The staff are very friendly, and the hotel is clean. Overall, we enjoyed our stay but there were a couple things that we needed to adjust to.

Staff were very helpful. However, the hotel was very crowded and full of young children, even late at night. I had booked the hotel with hope to enjoy the onsen. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights but every time I tried to go in it I found it so overcrowded that I turned around and left. It was not a good experience for the price.

However the room facing the street is super noisy as motorcycles blare their engines at various times after midnight and emergency vehicle will sound their siren and loudspeaker at 1am. While it sounds impressive on paper, the actual experience was underwhelming. The hotel was overcrowded with tourists, cleanliness was subpar (we had to request a room change), and the tiny bathroom made it inconvenient—most guests, including families with children, seemed to rely on the onsen for bathing. Overall, unless you’re looking for a cheap backpacker-style stay, it’s hard to recommend beyond the surface-level perks.
