Spotless, floors sheets , great tv channels, and apps, heat worked, staff nice but work hard, close to amenities, desjarding centre, fast food, area a bit dangerous at night but so is most of montreal, enjoyed my time at a good price

Great location, friendly staff. Hotel rooms are clean, but outdated, AC unit really old and loud.
Milica, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

No bar or restaurant. Elevator was decaying. The cabinets were messed up and never fixed. But the bed and other stuff was good. Good for an average solo trip stay. Hope it stays cheap.
Brandon, 3-night trip

8/10 Very good

There was construction that woke us up at 7am, which wasn't mentioned at check in. Location was great. Easy to walk everywhere. Bed was comfortable, room was fine. Parking lot was full so we had to park a couple blocks away. I would stay here again if in Montreal.

8/10 Very good

Was a good room, and was good enough for our short stay! Everything was clean and staff were friendly. Easy check-in and checkout. If you're not planning on spending much time in your room or not looking for luxury but still comfort this is the place!

The hotel is tired, smells very misty and needs a thorough clean. The bathtub enamel is peeling. Beds were very work and towels like sandpaper.

6/10 Good

It was not bad, not good. Price is not bad, and you're in a good spot close to everything. No issues with parking, but I imagine on a weekend it gets interesting.
Shane, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Good location

Convenient location, walkable to old town and downtown. Common areas including the elevator needs a little TLC. Bathroom is nice and clean. The bathtub faucet handle for our room needs attention but overall worked OK. Staff are nice. Bedroom furniture in the rooms are clean, but the sofa and coffee table can use a little more cleaning.
Gautam, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

Nice enough hotel. Felt safe inside. Close to a grocery store and pharmacy. It’s older, but the room was clean, it was more of a suite with a tv room and separate bedroom. The bathroom was recently renovated. It’s right on Rene Levesque Blvd, so there’s a lot of road noise. It was great for a night’s stay. Check in is 4pm, they charge $4/bag to store luggage. It was convenient for us, so we did. It’s just a block off St. Catherine and about a 5 or 10min walk from Old Montreal. We were happy with it.
Susan, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

We wanted a hotel that was walkable to the old town and to the metro so this worked perfectly. The rooms are standard and basic so did the job for what we needed. They do charge $4 per luggage if you need to drop anything in prior to your room being ready. The area for breakfast was closed due to renovations but we wanted to get food in the old town moreso. Check in and out was seamless. Basic hotel but in a great location for walkable attractions.
Donna, 3-night trip

4/10 Fair

I think the hotel is in business primarily because people with pets can stay there. I saw a lot of pets. Its really not what I expect from a not-at-all cheap hotel in the city centre. Its run down and a bit tacky and lacks amenities. The staff are definitely trained in the Ryanair work to the rules approach. The location is very good. I would not stay there again personally.
daniel, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

Nice but strange.

Arrived at 3 pm but wouldn’t let us check in until 3:30. And then charged us $4 to put bags behind counter while we walked around waiting until check in time. Strange I thought. Room was clean, no amenities like shampoo, etc. just soap. Towels very thin. Our room faced construction site next door merely 10 feet away.
Deb, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Chrome hotel has been our go to for value in the last years but this time hotel condition has deteriorated. Issues with ac not working in the room and hotel provided an ultra noisy fan. Lighting in the room very cool and uncomfortable. Positive note is, room was large and spacious with a spacious refrigerator. New shower and clean bathroom.
BERNARD, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

It was ok. You get what you pay for. If you are looking for high quality that ia not the place to go. There are no coffee machine or kettle in the room, no cups, or dishes but there is a microwave and a mini fridge. The hide a bed was not comfortable and there a many minor repairs to be done. The overall room was clean and the staff was very courteous.
Vicky, 2-night trip

6/10 Good

We were treated nicely by the staff at reception. There are two things that need to be addressed. 1) Air conditioner needs to be fixed in room 213. I woke up few times during the night due to suffocation. 2) Speaking of housekeeping staff, one of the staff members knocked off on the door 90 minutes prior to check out time only to remind us that room needs to be cleaned off and the staff appeared to be almost ready with the cleaning cart. Not a good gesture at all. Hotel is located in the downtown core. You can easily go around places. Thanks!
INDERJEET, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

This hotel is located within walking distance of many places (I do walk a lot so that should be considered). About 10 minute walk to old port, older montreal, university area, etc. variety of food places from reasonable to fine dining. the beds were comfortable and had plenty of room. Do be careful in the shower, test the water. this is the hotest water I have ever had at a hotel. The staff was friendly and I always felt safe. There is a grocery store up the street, we picked up pastry and milk for breakfast. the room has a refrigerator so this was very convenient and affordable way to start the day. I would recommend if you are looking for a well located place to stay. Note there is no restaurant at the property so if you are interested in room service or eating/drinking at the hotel, this is not available in the hotel, it is a short walk away. As we found in other parts of Canada during this trip the cleaning service is every three days. We were fine with this, but if you like your room cleaned and freshened daily then this will be one of the places you should avoid. If I wanted to go back to montreal I would be very comfortable staying here again.
