Basic hotel room

Room was small but clean and adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. No chair or dressing table/desk. Only toiletry was a combined shower gel/shampoo. Problems with the lift not working. Need to ensure you drive the correct way to the hotel, the long way around past the station and over the new railway bridge.

Day at the races, nice on racecourse hotel with parking. Not sure if you are better staying in town as the course is a bit of a walk into town and there is nothing much near the hotel when the racing has finished.

There were quite a lot of stains on my carpet which was off putting and no water in the room, which feels like standard practice. The room was fit for purchase for a night stay but I wouldn’t have stayed there for longer as it was a small room.
