Lovely overnight stop

We arrived in late and were still let check in and had a couple of lovely local whiskys in the bar. Breakfast the next morning was nice and simple and we were on our way. Perfect for a quick overnight stop.

Michael, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

Room was very small and although the en-suite was newly fitted there was no surface to put a wash bag - very silly. Bar area had loud music playing constantly- too loud in our opinion. Staff friendly but all a bit basic.

Robert, 1-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

We had to book this very last minute due to an issue with the original accommodation so when we turned up they were still sorting out our room which was no problem but hotels.com actually had the wrong info listed on the website and the room didn’t have kitchen facilities as described. The lady who checked us in offered us the townhouse that they have instead, we had to pay extra but at this point we just wanted somewhere to stay so we paid it. The townhouse was actually wonderful, we felt so safe and comfortable unlike the previous place. Kitchen facilities were great, the bedrooms were lovely and comfortable and the courtyard was nice to have access to. The furniture and decor is dated and they still have a DVD and CD player, no Netflix etc on the TV so they could do with updating things especially for the money it cost for one night. Overall though it was very nice and we would happily stay there again and recommend to others.

The hotel is very convenient for the train station being just a short walk away. It was also convenient for the Wick Heritage Museum - a must for even the short term visitor. The hotel staff were very helpful, anticipating our needs. The room was very comfortable and the food tasty and substantial. Altogether a great place to stay.
GEOFF, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

The dining area looked like a cheap tearoom & for the price of the meals & the room rate it wasn’t reflective.
